116 - A God's Choice 2

"Can.. can I exchange it for something else?"

"Huh". The girl was speechless.

One had to remember that the demon was newly born as such didn't know anything except for the normal information it had been uploaded with. So of course he didn't understand what a boon was. Even worse it was locked. To the demon who had to survive up to his first layer he just needed something immediate. After all only alive would he be able to use the boon, right?

Of course, if he had known some other secrets of Mondo he might have zipped his mouth and headed out without a complaint but he didn't.

The girl who knew this simply nodded, why it seemed the demon wasn't farsighted or grateful, one had to remember to look at the here before worrying about the then. In this demon's case, it simply chose its current situation as more problematic than a hazy future it wasn't sure of.

"Very well. I'll give you one more thing. It is within my capabilities since it's technically not a boon. " she muttered the last part while looking around expecting someone or something to snatch her out of this realm. When there was no reaction from anywhere she smiled and then looked back to the demon.

"You're nameless so I'll name you. In my tongue. It'll carry one great meaning and beware no one must know your full name or boon or not it'll be your greatest peril." Stopping she sighed wondering if her actions were okay before she shrugged.

'Dad will deal with whatever comes out of it.

"Aimaros Derslsr Dum'Achor (1)".

The demon shuddered as a feeling spread through him. Within it, a great feeling of boiling yet increased chilling heat was rolling through, filling its nerves and body up. Almost like that wasn't enough the sky brightened for just a split second, a flash of lightning igniting within the waves of the sky's black flames. To the four corners, four stars shone brightly before dimming just as fast as they had started.

Finally, everything calmed down just as a voice spoke, a whisper of something within his head. The voice exuded excitement for some reason even as it spoke.

[YOU HAVE BEEN NAMED]

The girl stood staring or more like studying him for a long time before sighing."Hmmph. Nothing different it seems. Just light works. "

Shrugging with what she knew was no failure she looked the still shaken demon straight in its frost eyes and said with a hint of graveness laden in her voice."Don't disappoint me Aimaros." With that, she turned now much eager to leave here, sure that her actions hadn't gone unnoticed.

"To whom do I have the honor". Aimaros' shaky Mondori was enough to alert her of his intentions, well his lowered head also assisted. While the demon didn't understand it he did feel like something was different in him the moment he got his name. Yet for now, he would find out later. His interest was in the one who granted him life-saving grace.

The girl looked unsure for a minute before the same phrase as earlier passed her mind. This was an opportunity she couldn't let pass.

'Dad will handle it if things get bad. If it's too bad to tell him I'll just make Big bro or mama show up. '. If Erizos and the rest were to hear her words they'd surely vomit blood at being the designated mess cleaner.

"My name is one unspeakable yet by you, but call me in your tongue, Dreamer" And the lightning returned flashing even more horrifically than when Aimaros got named after all it was but a Mondori version of the main one. In other words, it carried the same meaning but was spoken in his tongue.

*******

Somewhere a four eyed man looked up with a sigh before ignoring the lightning and looking back to the ground continuing his training.

'Those kids won't kill me before the main gods do' he complained in his head. A familiar voice laughing in his mind was the only response to his complaints. While he sulked the other enjoyed the endless drama it had been getting for a long while now.

*******

Aimaros dropped to his knees head bowed as he placed a five-fingered hand on his left chest.

"This lowly one greets the great one."

Dreamer's eyes widened at this massive catch smiling then forcibly forcing up an aloof expression before speaking.

"Rise. You should leave. My presence will bring attention here if it hasn't already. Hide and get stronger. Survive, we will meet again once you become a Layered one." Turning she walked back to the edge of the volcano before halting and looking at the rim of the boiling magma.

" And it's gonna blow. So you'd better skedaddle".

While she felt it would be a complete waste to name something only to have it killed from an eruption due to its lack of reaction Aimaros only felt a sense of warmth from being looked after.

While his assumptions were wrong, no one would change the thought.

Dreamer stepped back her body phasing a bit, behind her a beautiful gate formed by glowing crooked lights in the shape of roots and branches appeare. A singular branch of light moved and wrapped itself around her waist before pulling her through. One only had to wonder why she used The Broken Star when she could just use Neverfalls.

Probably showing off. If that was the case it worked wonders but had been unnecessary. After all, even in an avatar, her beauty was too otherworldly for common sense to not register her bizarreness to any who would meet her.

Still, many would care less too.

Aimaros not even aware of the intricacies of dimension travel stood quick to obey his great one's advice. His eyes merely glanced at the volcano once before hurrying to the side to start his descent. Only then did he see it.

In the shattered stones of tbe volcano's once grand side, glowing with a numinous haze was a metal that would change things to come.

His eyes gleamed as he stared at it. His senses told him that leaving this would be a great mistake. Casting one glance to the volcano rim he made his decision.

"Oh so he did find it. Well I guess now I have to prepare for them". Watching the demon dig out the metal hurriedly she could only sigh as she got ready to face her problems. Dusting unseen dirt off herself and patting her cheeks she took on the cutest expression she could muster.

'Five. Four. Three. Two. .."

Her realm shook as the full force of seven gods descended onto her gate. All realms had gates, so one just had to know where to look. She and Amor would totally have hidden theirs if Erizos hadn't made one gate to be placed in the general divine realm. While the others had a key to take them to anyone's gates. It wouldn't let them in, just bring them to its entrance.

Sighing she waved her hand and was instantly sandwiched between seven annoyed and suspicious gods. Well there was nothing they could do. She'd already acted. Whatever happened now only Hangiram would know.

"Hi siblings."
