122 - With family

Nine greater gods and goddesses. All with power at the lesser or mid-god range. Yet none expecting the one to attack first would be him.

Noctis was firstborn of the Godchains by right. Even if the god chains all saw themselves as equal each and all of them had a somewhat unofficial acceptance that the Night god was beyond them. Of course, they never realized why pondered. Yes. But never knew the how.

Until now.

Velces was Erizos god of the Sun, Forgemaster, blah blah blah. But Noctis was the total opposite. One of the two gods whose name wasn't Erlezoian, the night elf and supreme of Darkness.

Noctis hadn't just been creating his realm with his father. After all how long did it take to forge a realm anyway?

"Uncounted Steps of Illusion" the gods' whisper was unheard as he vanished.

A crowd of night elves all appeared around the Eldritch in different locations. Some up, down left, and all angles. Then vanished before the one elf reappeared right by where he had been.

"Ptuii".

The Eldritch s screech and the splash of revolting dark sludge that was its ichor was the only confirmation for the others that indeed Noctis had just charged and managed to harm the thing.

Creating several illusions around to hide the true Noctis and attacking all at once. One true slash from his Odachi had claimed its lifeblood. A very capable skill if he said so after all he had learned it well on his father.

" How?.. You... Noctis you?"

Eth'elas' shock while understandable only made the black-eyed god frown. Yet his gaze never left the eldritch which was frozen stunned refusing to believe that it had been attacked.

"Calharra, Q, don't you wish to know what this thing is?" he spoke further shocking the gods.

"He speaks.." Pyrkam's six heads all swirled to glance at the shorted god. Hell all nine lost interest in the Eldritch looking to the Night God. A sigh escaping the elf he turned to them.

"The name's Quintapazzuri not Q" The Truth goddess muttered making most look at her.

"Really. Priorities" Eth'ela shook her head trying not to look at rhe abomination.

"Use your brains. Father won't be able to come. Haven't you noted your lack of scrolls". he deadpanned.

Each one confused first glanced at the other before trying on their own to summon their scrolls. While the scroll did show itself it lacked a certain quality that they all knew made it even better.

There was no voice.

"Father must be focused on creating the world. Which means it's up to us to .. " he looked to the Eldritch with a frown.

True be told his speech battery was running dry. This was more words than he had said in his entire lifetime.

The Eldritch luckily didn't let him speak again. With a screech that was more disturbing than anything, it surged forward. Wings flapped and spread while roots shot out one for each of the nine.

"Heed your brother. Everyone behind me. We slay this., this . By your father whatever this is". Gerasmine was quick to move forward ready to guard her children. Her golden shield Na Bagin appeared in her grasp with a hum while her right hand pulled a short sword from her realm.

The roots refused to wait for her children to adjust as they arrived nine roots to bind them all.

CRACKLE.

Alas, the gods had finally awoken.

In a spark of barely-seen lightning, Amor disappeared and reappeared next to Noctis in her grasp the entangled roots.

Blade raised the Night elf slashed down ready to sever the roots and bring pain to the Eldritch when the roots budged and blasted Amor away retracting instantly.

The goddess herself was shot away becoming a speck in the distance.

SCRRRRRR.

The Eldritch uttered a screech of insanity, the face of its helmet twisted into a treacherous grin before in a flash of speed that should have been impossible for root-growing creatures, no offense Taumune, it was upon them.

Barely noting the speed Gerasmine was smashed aside as the thing landed upon Pyrkam for some reason noting him as the biggest threat. Must be the heads.

Its roots went to work squeezing around the seven-headed dragon while its other roots readied for the others.

Pyrkam though was infuriated. The Eldritch strike at him for some stupid reason translated as get rid of the weak one first.

For a dragon, with seven heads to boot and chaos aligned this was the height of insolence. After all, how could Erizos forget the most important thing for all dragons?

Pride. What was a dragon without pride?. Even flame breathing didn't make them any more dragonic than price did.

The Eldritch actions while funnily the opposite of what the dragon was thinking still triggered it.

"YOU DARE" The loud roar of the space god created cracks in the cosmos around them one of his maws opening as a wave of black chaotic flames spilled onto the Eldritch.

It stumbled with a hiss the divine fire burning its skin as it raised its arms attempting to shield itself from the damage.

A shrill whistle from behind had it turning its arms still ablaze only for a beam of condensed light to slam onto his chest sending it flying back. Its roots slipped off Pyrkam even as the dragon halted its breath.

"Get off my brother you ssscum" the chilling hiss of Hangiram announced his presence. The ever-growing serpent lashed forward fumes of smoke leaving its fanged jaws.

Behind Eth'ela and Quintapazzuri hovered Gerasmine as she glared with a bone-chilling gaze at the eldritch. Then she looked to Quintapazzuri and Eth'ela.

Everyone knew how much the little goddess revolted fights. Something that Gerasmine couldn't help but blame herself for. If she had just left the creation to Erizos then she was sure the girl wouldn't be fearful.

'I'll just have to keep my little godling safe' Right as she finished the words in her head a flash caught their eyes.

The Eldritch surrounded on three sides had been distracted as such missing the blue water-powered strike from a now-joining Hanare's Kulku. The four-pronged spear flashed like light severing a root that kept Noctis at bay and got a screech of pure pain and fury from the despicable entity.

Getting annoyed it pulled its roots back moving in yet another flash for the aqua divine.

"Hanare!"

Hangiram was quick to shout out a warning as he shot his body after the escaping creature.

The warning was fast but late as a clawed seven-finger strike struck the Aqua sovereign's lusterless ice armor shattering the chest area and spilling ichor into the surrounding space.

The god himself was sent flying back and smashing into a star.

Gerasmine saw red. Or was it green?.

Like a titan of pure rage, the goddess dashed forward. Interestingly she wasn't the only one. Noctis was ever calm but cold as death itself flashed ahead. A new move in his head ready to be used.

The dragon and serpent shot forward neither faster nor slower than the other yet both brewing with killing intent.

Then there was Quintapazzuri. The most logical of the seven Godchains. She felt anger. And yet it refused to rake over her mind. All she saw was the truth.

And it told her a lot of things. Yet only one thing mattered. Slaying it. Whether it was a corrupted innocent god or not.

Her hand raised and a spear appeared in it. Unlike Kulku, it was normal yet brimmed with gold. An eye, not a symbol but a true eye rested at the point between the shaft and the blade.

Her hand moved back and then blurred.

To an onlooker, it seemed like her hand phased out of reality. To her, she'd thrown the spear so fast that it was barely observable.

Right there and then the Eldritch released a pulse of sickly green energy that flung all the converging gods away. The wave mowed through them with force. Eyes widened as breaths of Ogor escaped their mouth before they were flung back. Quintapazzuri smirked as she watched the energy about to clash with her beautiful Hororis only for it to shatter into cracks of glass.

Within her eyes, several rulerunes rotated around her irises like planets within a solar system. One particularly eye-catching one was not amongst the group as it was right in the iris itself.

An ability that let her see the moves of an individual as she wished. The goddess had many a fun testing and creating skills under this ability. Like the particular one, she'd used at the beginning to know when and where exactly to throw her spear.

'Right on time' Her head turned to stare at Eth'ela whose eyes were fixed upon the Eldritch or more properly its energy.

By using that skill Eth'ela had changed the energy into a new form. Glasses. Creating space for Quintapazzuri's spear to slide through.

'With family, it's easier than expected, especially with her skill'. The goddess hummed eyes still on the little girl even as her spear slid into the Eldritch right in between its ribcages.

'Huh. Where's Amor? '
