MERRENOK

TWO MONTHS LATER.

After the exile of Taumune and Pyrkam to the harrowing fields of Tornheim. I'm now in charge of overseeing this event. With the All-father on a trip in the expanse of the still unconquered multiverse, it falls to the gods to regulate the worlds and realms in existence.

Yes, you heard right, worlds. But for now, I'm reporting on the races.

While everything happened two weeks prior by Merrenok time it wasn't till now that each race was properly cataloged.

It's called the Advent of the races. But I more precisely prefer the name, Race Index.

In one night or was it a day? It really depends seeing as All-father wasn't exactly in one place during the course of this exercise. So yes I'll say in a period of thirty-six hours father introduced a slew of races that would move the world forward.

Most were familiar, fortunately as I got to watch a bit of tbe anime from All-father's memories with the goddess Amor. The rest though were very weird. I understand the term alien more now.

This is the race index and it begins with the very creatures that dad already put in the world.

(Author's note: I already had this list prepped since chapter 40. Can't believe I'm finally here. This is a milestone for me)

The first important race to note is the Dragon Race.

The most popular of concepts. The dragons have existed for long beyond our Multiverse and world creation. Created according to legends we learned by a goddess known as Tiamat. The concept was integrated into Merrenok by Erlezos. But shattered into parts.

There were the True dragons first. The first and purest form of dragons. Two bat-like wings and a size that rivals anything known on Merrenok. Its feet are enough to shatter a bustling city. Its wingspan is enough to bring night upon an area blotting out the sun.

High magic. Compressed flame breaths. Four-legged with a long reptilian tail and neck that is characterized by all dragon races. A baby true dragon after hatching is said to be the size of a Tiger. Horns grow from their heads and their tails are spiked at the end. Horn size and body size are dependent on the dragon after the average size is confirmed.

Next is the Wyrmoids. Worm-like dragon creatures that protect the core of Merrenok and other worlds. Their size has been said to cause various earthquakes that disturb the ground and other worlds. The smallest is said to be the length of five cities compared.

Drakes the next in line are the two-legged counterparts of the dragons. Counterparts are an overstatement though. Compared to a True dragon the drake is smaller. While large nonetheless their size is only as big as a city. These are more common as there are only nineteen known True dragons in existence.

The next is called Pure Dragons. The legendary dragons ridden by men. While not as large as the drakes. Their smaller size gives them the mobility that these drakes lack. Fortunately, all dragons breathe fire innately.

Dryns are scarce and only found on one continent. The Golden Jade. They're the only wingless dragons who glide in the air and swim through the oceans. Not only that they lack flame breath but are far more adept in magic than the other dragons except for True dragons.

Wyverns were discovered recently. A deformity in a pure dragon egg. The two-legged runts of the dragon race. Weaker fire breath, almost fireballs and the weakest in strength. Even the Dryn without its magik is far more fiercesome.

Grimms. The personal concept of the All-father. Tall 7ft creatures by mortal standards. Head similar to a bull with eight squid-like tentacles acting as suckers, growing around a large but fairly unnoticeable mouth, smooth bald head, and a thick neck. Muscular bodies for both males and females. Females are differentiated by the lack of horns growing from the head sides where the ears of a human should be. The horns grow curved downwards white and thick with a pointy tip. Four armed and one pair of legs. Green skin that blends into their forest habitat. Their racial name Grimm comes from their ugly look. Lesser capabilities with mana but are more adept at fights. Their lack of eyes adds to their increased strangeness as they can see their environment through their squid tentacles.

Kurins was yet another personal concept. The Kurin are in one word, weird. Winged with metallic appendages, an insect-like head, and large compound eyes. Two humanoid arms with four extra arms from the back below the wings that were curved at the elbows and ended with spear-like tips for stabbing and two normal legs. Prospering mostly in the mountainous regions of the four continents they are found on. They're very weak in freezing temperates.

Elves were the first of the humanoid races to be created. The race was originally made by Odin. Tall lean humanoids with pointy ears and usually good control of mana. Popular for their archery and far sight. Yet various things happened that led to, evolutions. The variants became of six types each scattering into various corners of Merrenok to build their societies.

The first was the only elves that went untouched by evolution in any way. Properly known as High elves. The first of the elves. Considered royalty by standards. Long platinum hair, fair skin, and innate battle instincts while adept at mana like other elves.

A few of the elves that broke off from the others on their day of birth found the first flame, the original fire tossed away by the All-father. Intrigued due to their ignorance they got burned by the first flame.

Scorching their insides and turning their blood as they claim into gold. They called themselves Sun Elves due to their increased prowess under the sun and connection to anything fiery. They would soon be known shortly as the race kissed by the sun god. Fair-skinned as the High elves but differentiated by their golden hair, their flame elemental prowess and combat which rivaled the other races.

Noctis refused to mention the details of his blessings to the elves All we can register in the index is that there areMoon Elves, blessed by the dark god, fastest of all elves. The only elves with dark long hair which contrasts their white skin.

Mother Gerasmine was said to chance upon a trio of elves, touched by their kindness to a stranger in a still cutthroat world she blessed them making them highly attuned to the earth. Now Forest Elves they were deposited on a sealed continent with the gargantuan form of Nuknuk.

With their golden hair which made them similar to the sun elves but their green eyes similar to their habitats but different and distinguishable from the other elves, they were assigned as guardians over the world tree.

The next race of elves further evolved from the moon elves into Dark Elves. Blessed by the dragon god Pyrkam after his release for aiding a true dragon. The dark elves earned the chaotic alignment. The only variants with black skin, white hair, and silver eyes making them similar to the High elves though. Their traits and double blessings make them more adapted to Soul magik.

Celestial Elves are the first, an arguable fact, rarest and most special of the elves. Erlezos personal concept.

Hair a long gold and white. Eyes yellow like the sun. High affinity to magik, both normal and soul. Strong and fast fighters. The only elves respected by the dragons in the near future.

Merzmen the only humanoid race from within the Deep. A racial shifting trait of assuming legs on land and tails in the water. Gills located at their neck sides are closed when exposed to air but open beneath the water. The reverse applies to their nostrils. Long spiked vertebrae are visible on their backs from the neck to the tail end. Melds back into the body on land. Clawed hands that retract on land. Funnily the Merzmen were ignored by Hanare. As while they worship him he blessed none.

Ozhuman. Tired of regular ole humans an idea pushed the All-father to create the first evolution of humans above normal. At least those were his words. Racial traits were increased with potential and other factors. None have yet to be noted though. While the humans are strong it is a normal thing as Merrenok is rich in mana and other energies.

Greodells were an elven lookalike. Some fair, some white-skinned, or dark-skinned.Three-eyed humanoids with thin reptilian tails. Long waist-length white hair and four fangs in their mouth. A race that would shake Merrenok in the future due to their warring and combat-related special traits.

Dwarves. The little men of the earth. While forest elves were considered children of the forest, dwarves are seen as born of rock. Only three types of dwarves roam Merrenok. From the high mountain dwarf to the cave dwarf and the deep earth dwarves. Non taller than 4ft.

Centoiri is a half-man half-horse or half-man half-bull race. This dual race was made for one purpose. Protecting the World Tree. The half-man half-bull were nicknamed Raiders. Their chests and back down were covered by hard chitinous skin that could take blows from mundane metal. It grew down to their bull parts stopping only at the knees of their legs. Their bull backside was muscular yet the weakest point for them. They were naturally bigger and broader than the half man half horse. Longhorns grew up from the side top of their heads forming a large U.

The half man half horse was the same but with hind horse parts instead of a bull. They were faster and swift than the bulls.

Their race answered only to the forest elves since they are seen as children of the forest.

Finally are the other two first races. The Burdened Lions and the Oldens. The Oldens lack reproductive means but can create lesser creatures by breaking off a leaf or branch infused with soul magik and elemental rulerune magic.

This birthed the Merrenokian faes.

Burdened lions while able to reproduce just couldn't. Keeping to themselves the behemoths scattered over the world watching the course of things take place.

No one knows where the All-father disappeared to. All we know is we're tasked with guiding Merrenok and the other five worlds.
