[WELCOME TO THE EYE OF AUTHORITY CANDIDATE]

[SURVIVE]

*********

If Erizos had been clearheaded enough to note the series of words and commands given before and after his body had submerged into the dimensional wall, then he might have understood the sight before him.

Alas, the All-father was lost in his head. His denial still in effect.

There were many things he thought of. Most were weird but understandable. Many of his thoughts spun around the absence in his head. Many of them denied the truth of the matter he had been thrown into.

Finally his lips parted just as his body was spat out of a spinning disc that formed the tip of what looked like a funnel. Dropping him into a dimly lit expanse of empty yet bordered space that was nothing like the place he was just sucked out of.

He barely registered the new announcement he had as his body dropped to the center of this vast place. His body plummeted to a radiant structure in the center of the place.

[Welcome to the Eye of Authority - Dawn of Creation]

Yet his senses came back as his body slammed into something hard. A line of gold appeared on his forehead as ichor flowed from a cut made by the fall.

Erizos found himself lying face first on a black stone cut from unknown metal. Yes. There was no mistake about it. The ground was a black stone cut from metal. He knew as his forger mind was telling him but he was far from understanding it.

Or he wasn't attempting to.

The god pushed himself to a sitting position and his back leaned against the base of what he didn't realize to be a singular brightly colored pillar that towered up high.

Erizos sat there for the most time his thoughts in shambles his head rolling as he searched and called for the other him. They say grief has stages. It wasn't long before the All-father fell out of his denial and into the bottomless pits of macabre rage.

With a snarl, his eyes lit up even more brightly than before while his blue pupils turned as tenebrous as ever. On his feet, he cast his senses into his mind and found the entity that dared do this.

With rage that would make various gods whine the All-father howled a single question in his mind.

'What have you done?"

A tremble went through the environment yet there was little to no reply.

Finding the encompassing silence enraging Erizos roared out his question once more. His blue eyes were shiny and moist. This time his lips moved to speak. His voice thundered through the place yet to be given any proper attention by him.

And it happened.

One second there was silence after the last echo of his roar. The next a roar just like his thundered back.

And with it came the voice like an announcer within his head.

[Erondi The First has gained sentience]

[Erondi The First has awakened]

[Phase I commenced]

[Survive Erondi The First's attacks]

Questions that should be asked or at least thought of were lost in the waves of Erizos anger.

His four eyes twitched as something entered his Deific sense range.

It was like a trigger. Like a whip waiting to lash out. Like a cornered animal fighting back. Without hesitance, the god was gone leaving nothing but a speck of mirage in his spot.

Erizos barely realized as he moved that his divinity was lacking or not working here as he intended. Yet again it joined the list of things he was too pissed off to realize. His body soared through the place his eyes locked on the spot his Deific sense was echoing the enemy's location to be.

If he was calm then he might have realized that his deific sense was smaller in range here and that it barely noted this thing. Only spotting it and not bringing a complete shape or size back to him.

Finally, the All-father appeared over a part of the place where a being dashed across the black stone of the ground heading towards him. It crossed two towering pillars that seemed to create a passage of sorts before it detected something and looked up.

Erizos was on it before it could even make another move. Vailex appeared in his grasp, the incandescent blade of the divine sword dimmer than before. It came down eager to taste the blood of what it considered it's master's enemy.

A clang of metal against stone echoed. Erizos feet smashed into the stone floor which rapidly fixed itself up before his very eye. But the god didn't care his attention was locked on the thing that just evaded his judgment.

His Deific sense was now close enough to it as such serving like an extra eye behind his head that told him where exactly the thing was.

Erizos dropped his head low as a slicing sound passed over his beautiful lock of hair the lusterless blade slicing a few strands of his hair.

Vailex came back up even as Erizos sought his balance. The beauty of a divine blade. The sword clashed with the enemy's own in a clang of screeching metal.

The creature attempted to back off but Erizos was on it. His feet stamped the floor and his body appeared behind it.

It spun quickly just in time to find Vailex splitting the wind as it shot for his face.

CLANG!!!

Two swords clashed yet again as the lusterless blade halted the kill strike an inch from the creature's face.

There and then swords locked in a battle of strength Erizos finally had a look at the thing he was battling. Four eyes stared into four eyes surprise making him flinch a bit as his face was mirrored before him, his lips his everything. The only difference being the bland look on the being's face.

But even that changed the moment his eyes connected with it. A smile stretched over its face. One that felt nostalgic. One that he had never seen yet gave him a sense of familiarity.

Then the creature spoke.

"Hello, Erizos."The voice was his yet not his. Someone else voice. A thought hammered in his head yet he ignored it.

"You are the one who succeeded where we failed. " It made a slight head tilt like a bow. "Call me Erondi. The first."

Erizos and Erondi parted with a push on both their blades their feet sliding on the stone floor till the halted swords pointed to the black stone.

His mind buzzed with a feeling like it was trying to tell him something. Yet he kept ignoring it while he saw red, his mind reeling as he thought of various ways to kill this Erondi who bore his face yet nothing worked here. Even most of the abilities his daughter Quintapazzuri got or skills she learned that he could use to see through the defenses of his opponents did nothing here.

Finally, his rage simmered as he finally realized.

"What did you do to my divinity?".

Erondi halted a look of confusion crossing its face. Then it shook its head before raising its sword.

"It wouldn't be much of a test if I told you everything now would it?". With those words, Erondi charged forward yet still speaking.

" You'll know soon enough." Arriving before Erizos it slashed down his blade ready to cleave the god in two. "or maybe not".

Vailex appeared last minute taking the brunt of the slash while Erizos staggered back a bit. Even as both identical beings clashed one kept thinking of the one word repeatedly.

'Test'.

Holding the black sword up his left fist shot out punching Erondi hard in the ribs. Then another instant jab came the moment it staggered back. Its nose cracked as its head shot back.

Without delay, the god spun on his left foot his right raised and kicking into Erondi's abdomen knocking the air out of him and sending him off his feet.

Erondi crashed to the floor yet quickly flipped off with its left palm creating distance between them as it evaded the incoming slash from Erizos.

"What test? "

"What does this have to do with erasing Berus?" Erizos clueless about the voice words after Berus' death failed to realize who he was asking questions.

All he knew was something invaded his mind and erased his long-time friend and brother. His other self. Then he sensed this guy who took on his face.

His mind went to the Sentient Order that could take his look. He figured the being before him did something and he wanted goddamn answers.

"Berus?" Erondi asked while leaping away and avoiding the blade once

more. Erizos anger came back a fraction but this time he shook it off knowing he needed to be calm to win here.

Yet Erondi's next word had him freezing his mind breaking on different levels of shock.

"I was once A Berus. Now I'm Erondi. Why, what does that have to do with you?".
