Coffee Date

Amy watched Jim as he put on a black hat and a black mask. Amy suddenly realized that it must be hard for Jim to take her home.

He is an idol, after all.

"Is it really okay for you to drive me home? I can call my driver to pick me up," Amy said, taking her phone out of her purse. It was dead.

Jim saw that her phone was unusable; to this, Jim said, "you have unfortunate luck with needing a phone." He grinned.

"And that makes me the lucky one," Jim whispered under his breath, giggling.

"What did you say about me and my phone?" Amy lifted one eyebrow as she had not heard what Jim was saying.

"Haha. I said I'm lucky," Jim teased Amy as he walked toward his room.

When he got out, Jim held a camo bomber jacket, a black hat, and a black mask.

"Here, wear this. I don't want other people seeing you in my shirt and making assumptions," Jim said slyly.

Amy blushed and hurried to take the jacket in Jim's hand. She then grabbed the hat and put on the mask.

All the while, Jim looked at Amy, who was shaking as she put on the garments he had brought her. Despite wearing just a shirt and jacket, Amy looked incredible. Her petite statuette, her brown hair, her big brown eyes, Amy was a sight to behold. Jim's heart starts beating fast.

Jim approached Amy. Amy stood frozen as Jim was only inches away from her. Seeing Jim stand next to him, she felt incredibly tiny and fragile. Uncertain of what would come next, Amy closed her eyes, silently expecting something.

*thumppp *thummmppp

Amy felt Jim take off her hat and untied her ponytail. Jim then brushed her hair with his fingers and tucked her front hair behind her ears.

"There, you look dashing," Jim whispered, putting her hat back on."

Amy was so flustered, she could feel her heart thumping so fast and her ears burning hot. Jim has been teasing her all day. Did they perhaps do something 'more' last night?

"Let's go," Jim said softly, and Amy opened her eyes. She dared not look up; she didn't want Jim to see the twinkles in her eyes. So instead, she looked straight, staring at Jim's chest.

"Are you perhaps lusting over my chest?" Jim suddenly bent down to match Amy's gaze. At that moment, Amy was pretty sure all her hair stood up.

"Hahahahahahaha," Jim laughed crisply. "You're too cute" Jim then held her hand and guided her out the door and into his car.

Inside Jim's car, Amy could still feel her heart thumping. Her body was burning.

"You're not in a hurry, are you?" Jim asked Amy.

"No, not today." Amy said shyly, "why'd you ask?"

Jim looked at Amy for a second, then back to the road and said, "I'm taking you on a coffee date."

Amy choked at his straightforwardness.

"I know this place that serves great coffee. They have good desserts as well. And I thought it would be nice to bring you there since you seem to love coffee so much," Jim said, looking straight ahead.

Amy didn't say nothing.

"Would you rather not me take you?" A hint of sadness echoed in Jim's voice.

"No- I mean yes. I mean, I would rather you take me" Amy jumped off her seat. Suddenly realizing what she had said, Amy explained , "what I mean is, I love looking for a new coffee shop that offers great coffee. That's all."

"So it's a date then?" Jim smiled.

Amy looked at Jim as he was holding the steering wheel. She doesn't think she can get used to how stunning this man looks. Princes will feel ashamed to stand next to him.

"Yes," she said, her heart beating so fast she thought it would run out of her heart.

Amy had met other idols before, most of whom were arrogant and superficial. None of them like Jim. Jim spoke to Amy confidently and straightforwardly but never had he made Amy feel less than.

"How's your hangover?" Jim said causally.

"Better than I deserve, all thanks to you," she replied.

"Glad to be of service." Jim smiled as he remembered Amy's outbursts last night.

--last night--

When Amy passed out under his arms, Jim sat her in his car and tried waking her up. Amy would mumble incomprehensible words and then she would snore quietly again. When Jim grabbed her purse to look for her phone, he noticed it was dead. 'What should I do?' He thought.

Jim sat in his car for quite some time, thinking about what to do, when Amy woke up and cupped his cheeks.

"My sister would die if she ever finds out I'm holding you like this. *hic not that I would ever tell anybody that I'm holding you like this, *hic* or that I'm with the great Jim of Axis21. *hic. have we met before?" She continued, "hmmmm *hic unlikely… I would recognize you if we did *hic. Ugh, but your lips, they look so familiar. *Hic"

Jim's face turned red. He can't believe it. 4 years later, he finally dared to talk to her, but fate has a funny way, hasn't it? Not only did fate give him the chance to meet her again, but fate has her sitting in his car- passed out drunk.

"What's your address? Let me take you home."

Amy mumbles. "But that's a country Q's address," Jim said in frustration. 'Then I have no choice,' he thought as he drove away.

—present day--

Amy was suddenly curious as she noticed Jim laughing to himself. "Care to share what's so funny?" Amy said.

Jim suddenly shifted the gear to park and said, "No. But we're here," as he smiled beautifully.
