You’re coming with me

The next day, Amy felt like something heavy was lifted off of her shoulders. Dr. Cha and her exchanged emails and came to terms.

•She won't be starting till next month, a request Dr. Cha was very

hard about this since he wants to work with Amy right away

•She alone can choose what research studies to be a part of.

•she will be working as chief- pediatric neurosurgeon at GHO-Korea and will be given an equal chance to perform and supervise cases.

Included in her contract was hiring Jen as her assistant, hiring another who would act as Jen's second hand, able to have non-working weekends and holidays, and on call-every other weekend.

Feeling like everything was in its rightful place, Amy felt like she was floating on air.

"Hello?" Amy knocked at Maddie's office.

"Hey sister, what brings you here?" Maddie casually said, flipping pages of reports.

"I always forget that you have a job. How can you do all these and still go to meet-ups and concerts?" Amy asked, being suspicious.

"I'm not like you, Amy. I actually know how to clock out," Maddie laughed. "What brings the great Amelia Fitzgerald into my office?"

"I rejected Harvard," Amy blurted nonchalantly, looking at the medicine books neatly arranged on Maddie's shelf.

"WHAT?!!!!!!!" Maddie screamed and jumped out of her seat. "Mom. Is. Gonna. Kill. You. What gives Amy? This is so unlike you," Maddie said in disbelief.

Amy explained to Maddie what she went through, how she felt for the last four years, and her recent decision to return to Korea to work.

"Oh my gosh. I can't believe you're doing this; you must have been burnt out. But I'm happy for you, Aims. You suffered a lot, yet you didn't have time to grieve and take a step back. You should have told me," Maddie said, concerned for her little sister.

"So when are you gonna tell mom?"

"Not planning to, or at maybe least when I'm already in Korea," Amy said in defeat. "Did mom tell you why she brought Noah to the party?"

"My guess is as good as yours. I think Mom is at that age when she gets agitated, knowing both her girls are single. She's probably itching to marry us off," Maddie said, shivering as if a ghost passed by her.

"You know, since you are unemployed, you can come with me to the Axis21 concert in Sin City.

Rumor has it, this will be their last concert before they release a new album and go on another world tour!" Maddie exclaimed excitedly.

"Are you a part-time gossip columnist? How do you know all these things?" Amy chuckled.

"I have connections," Maddie replied proudly.

Amy can't help but smile, her heart beating loudly. He is gonna see him soon. Even from afar, that was enough for her.

AT THE CONCERT

"Hi, we're Axis21," said J, their leader, as the crowd roared. "I hope you are enjoying our concert so far," fans screamed as loudly as before.

"To be able to perform in this stadium is an honor," Jim spoke, and cheers from men, women, and non-binary filled the stadium. "And we won't be able to do this if it were not for your Axis."

"Yeeeaaaahh…" GD said as he smiled, sending everyone good vibes. "We are so grateful to have an amazing, loving, and ever-supportive fanbase."

"So we hope you continue to support us in the future, whatever that future might bring," Leo said, a sense of gratitude in his voice. "We are not Axis21 without Axis. You and us go hand in hand," Leo said, holding his tears.

"This is not the last time you'll ever hear of us," Min Ho exclaimed, leaving fans excited. "Or see us," he continued.

"So we hope, tonight, as we close this chapter of our tour, we will be able to create memories together. Memories filled with joy, laughter, and fun," Seo Jun said, making all the fans emotional.

After that, Axis 21 performed, sang, and danced as everyone in the stadium sang and danced with them.

When the show ended, Amy saw Maddie sobbing in the corner. "Are you crying?" Amy asked worriedly.

"I'm just so proud of my boys. They literally started from the bottom, and now they're the only act to fill this stadium to its maximum capacity, four times!" Maddie said as she held her light stick near her heart.

While Maddie was busy talking to other Axis*, Amy took her phone out and sent a message:

**I saw you today- hehe! You guys were exceptional! You must be exhausted, have a good rest

*ding

**that's funny cause I saw you today, too. Haha. We're going over to kk restaurant for dinner with staff and crew; I'd be really happy if you come

**I can't. I'm with my sister Maddie. Did I tell you that she's a super fan? She was crying the entire time.

*ding

**even better, ask her to come, too. I'll send you the link and code for dinner. I'll be waiting for you

Amy stared at the text dumbfounded. How can this man say things so casually? And how is he making her heart shake so smoothly? Amy wanted to see Jim. But at the same time, she's embarrassed to join a dinner meant for the members, staff, and crew. Amy hesitated.

*ding

**don't overthink it. The team and other members are excited to meet you. Min Ho won't shut up about meeting you.

Amy thought she had died and gone to Heaven. She was lost in words.

"Sorry that took long; I haven't seen my fellow Axis' for quite some time," Maddie said as she checked the time on her phone.

"Are you hungry?" Amy asked.

"Very much," Maddie said as if she had not eaten in days.

"Good," Amy said, feeling as if her heart was gonna burst. "You're coming with me."
