The Idol’s Wife

"How was your holiday?" Dr. Cha asked Amy while settling to sit next to her during their weekly conference. 


"It was awesome. I had to perform surgery every day since Christmas." Amy replied sarcastically, "How was your month-long vacation, Dr. Cha?"


"It was the most amazing month of my life." The old man grinned. "Thank you for keeping the department intact while I was gone. I was not worried one bit. All the more, my trip to Santorini with my family was the most relaxing for all."


Amy looked at Dr. Cha and noticed his skin was bright and golden. It must be from the fantastic sunshine he had since he left her to spearhead the department since Christmas. Although jealous, Amy was happy for his mentor. Filling in Dr. Cha's shoes for the last month was drastic. He deserved that month-long vacation, maybe more.
