Chapter 47

Sam was blown away by what his Alpha just shared with him. It took him a few minutes to process this info and gather his thoughts. It sounded like some old wives' tale wrapped in bad luck was surrounding them and it was hard to comprehend. "So what's the next step Alpha?"

Bradley rubbed his chin. "I want to tell the pack so everyone will be in the loop. I don't know if what my aunt said is true. That the father of the pup can sense it, but I don't want to take any chances. It's better our warriors be prepared." Sam nodded in agreement. It sounded like a good idea and he knew for sure that it was better to be safe than sorry.

"What about personal protection for the Luna? Should we put the Gamma Jack on notice?" Gammas usually protect the Luna, but since they haven't had one, Jack has been on training missions overseas. Bradley hummed, "Yeah, you should call him and tell him to return. I just need to find a way to make Trishanna the rightful Luna." The two men brain-stormed as the car made its way back to Goldmoon. Thankfully, Bradley had Lorenzo email him all the details concerning Trishanna's pregnancy and they both poured over it, looking for a way to ensure her safety.

Samuel asked, "What if she marked you? Would that work?" James paused. It was something that he never considered. He pulled out his phone to call his aunt. Cynthia answered on the third ring. Without even a greeting, Bradley blurted out the question. "Can she mark me instead?" Cynthia looked at the phone before returning it to her ear. "I'm sorry nephew, I couldn't hear you over the lack of a greeting." Bradley sighed. "I'm sorry Auntie, my wolf has been restless about Trishanna. He keeps saying that something is wrong and I just want to ensure that she would be safe if that bastard James finds out that she is pregnant."

"Hmm...." Cynthia took off her reading glasses and laid her book on the bedside table. "Well, I'm not sure if she can mark you seeing that she is an Omega. Usually, the male's mark causes her body to respond so that marking is sometimes possible, but that won't be an option in your case." Cynthia tapped her finger on the table. "What about doing the mating ceremony? None of the information we've found states that you guys can't mate. It just talks about the dangers of marking."

Bradley sat up in his seat. He quickly ran through all the information and realized that she was right. He can mate with Trishanna. This means that he can do the ceremony in front of the pack, thus rightly accepting Trishanna as his Luna. He just has to be careful that in his excitement to be one with her, he doesn't bite her. His wolf was happy with that suggestion and promised to keep his teeth to himself. "Auntie, did I ever tell you how much I love and admire you?" Cynthia laughed. He always said this whenever she gave him a great answer to a troubling question.

"Sure thing you little rascal." was always her reply. Bradley smiled, "I would like to hold the ceremony as soon as possible. We'll be back in two days. Can you get some of the council members to attend? I'll call ahead and let the others know so we can prepare. And don't worry, I'm gonna call Trishanna right now and let her know. I hope that everything can be done in less than two weeks." Cynthia agreed and after a bit more small talk, the call ended. Guess she has a ceremony to prepare for. Cynthia smiled and dialed one of her favorite people. "Hey Councilman Joe, what do say to attending my nephew's mating ceremony in about two weeks?"

Trishanna was elated when Bradley called her to tell her of the plan to be mated. She was touched that he wanted to share their story with the pack and she fell more in love with him than she ever thought possible. The only damper to this was the dreams she kept having at night. Her research came up with nothing and even talking with Lorenzo gave no clues as to why. Yet she didn't allow it to keep her from enjoying the bustle of preparations for Bradley's return. Just thinking about seeing him made Trishanna's heart pound and she could even feel herself getting wet. Her mind would drift off to the last time they were intimate and it was all she could do to focus. She has been spending a lot more time with the pups and knew that she needed to be focused.

Today is the day that Bradley will arrive. Trishanna was woken up by six-thirty by Tiffany and a few of the other omegas. She was urged to shower and then have breakfast which was brought to her room. While she munched on muffins, bacon, and fruit salad, Tiffany left only to return with a garment bag over her shoulder. "Luna, the Alpha had this specially ordered for you and ask if you will welcome him wearing this." She unzipped the bag to reveal a beautiful knee-length dress of a light peach color. Taking it out, Trishanna could see that it was a high-waisted dress with a square neckline. The skirt was flowy and it appeared that it was something she can wear well into her pregnancy. With tears in her eyes, Trishanna nodded.

Seeing this, Tiffany clapped her hands. "Alright ladies, after our Luna has finished her breakfast, let's get her all dolled up for Alpha Bradley." The other began chatting and giggling, so glad to have a Luna to fuss over. Tiffany leaned over and whispered in Trishanna's ear. "Trust me, Luna, by the time we are finished, the Alpha won't be able to keep his paws off of you."

Trishanna blushed and nodded. Letting herself relax she felt one began to work on her hair while two others began on her nails, both hands and feet. It was the first time she experienced this and Trishanna planned to enjoy it to the fullest. They were finished in under three hours and when she finally saw herself in the mirror, she couldn't believe her eyes. She looked like a fairy princess and she knew that Bradley would be pleased. Soon a shout was heard signaling that the Alpha had returned. The girls quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her downstairs. Trishanna made her way to the front of the main house and stood waiting with bated breath for her handsome prince to arrive.
