Chapter - 100 - No man can handle me

"Dr. G!" called out Julia as Gianna was about to leave. "I am going to become a doctor, and in five years, I will be your resident!" said Julia in a determined voice. Gianna smiled and said, "Don't ever expect me to be a kind mentor!" Gianna bade her goodbye and knocked on Alexi's door.

The door opened immediately, and the bodyguard invited her in. Gianna saw a few more bodyguards in the room and Mr. Ellerbrock standing near the window. "Good morning, Mr. Ellerbrock," greeted Gianna. "Good morning, Dr. Gianna." Gianna turned to Peter and asked, "Where is Alexi?"

"I am here," said Alexi in a low voice. Gianna saw him dressed up and sitting in a wheelchair with a long face. Gianna crouched beside him and asked, "Why are you down? Is it hurting somewhere?" "No. Today is my parent's death anniversary," said Alexi in a cracked voice.

Gianna could see tears welling up in his eyes. She patted his shoulders and told him not to cry. 'So that's why the ambiance is so dull. How did this grandpa and grandson duo live till now?' thought Gianna looking at Mr. Ellerbrock's back.

"You have grown so huge, and do you think your parents would be happy seeing you cry? Won't they think your grandpa is not taking good care of you? Even if they are not near you, they are always watching you. So go and tell them how well your grandpa has taken care of you and also how happy you are living the life they gave you."

Alexi hugged her waist suddenly and asked, "Grandpa, can you adopt G, as your granddaughter?" Gianna was shocked because Alexi suddenly hugged her, and his question made her feel dizzy. Mr. Ellerbrock was happy listening to her words and felt like a consolation for himself, but Alexi's gesture and his question took everyone in the room by surprise.

Gianna laughed awkwardly, and all of them joined her to relieve the tension in the room. "I will be your sister, no matter what, but I don't want a grandpa like Mr. Ellerbrock," said Gianna in a low tone. Alexi started laughing and said, "Grandpa! Why don't you cook more herbal soup for G? She loved the soup you made last time. I think you have a high chance of scoring with the soup."

"I also wish I could adopt Dr. Gianna as my granddaughter, so I will start preparing the soup for her every day," said Mr. Ellerbrock with a chuckle. Gianna smiled and said, "Keep your head steady and take good care of him, Mr. Peter. Return to the therapy session soon."

Peter nodded and wheeled Alexi out of the room. "Thank you, Dr. Gianna," said Mr. Ellerbrock and left the room. Gianna also departed with them and drove to her apartment. "Where did you go early in the morning?" asked Frank as she stepped out of the elevator.

"There was an emergency in the hospital." "Take good rest. See you in the evening, Doc! I forgot to tell you! I joined boxing class yesterday!" "Good! Don't learn it for fighting but learn it for creating a better version of yourself!" Frank nodded and left for college. Gianna entered the apartment and saw Rick lying on the couch with his back facing her. She walked with light steps toward him and bent down to look at him. Gianna gasped because Rick suddenly caught her right hand.

Rick opened his eyes and said, "Good morning!" "Good morning!" said Gianna in a low voice and quickly walked into the bedroom. "Why is his voice so sexy? Look at the goosebumps," mumbled Gianna as she rubbed her hands.

She freshened up quickly and walked into the living room as she heard the doorbell ring. "Gianna, I am going out today. I could make you only breakfast!" said Mrs. Rogers as Gianna opened the door. "It's okay, Mrs. Rogers. Don't worry about me! Have a great day!" assured Gianna.

"Hello, Dr. Gianna! You look gorgeous day by day! Are you dating anyone?" asked Mrs. Silvia. Gianna smiled gently and said, "Good morning, Mrs. Silvia. Thank you for the compliment!" "Listen! My grandson is coming to visit me tomorrow. Should I arrange a date with him?"

Gianna was baffled by Mrs. Silvia's enthusiasm. "I am not interested in dating, and I don't have time for that, Mrs. Silvia." Gianna kindly rejected the offer. "You are wasting your beauty! Tell me which man wouldn't want you to be his girlfriend! Don't waste your time and date a man already, Dr. Gianna!" Mrs. Rogers pulled Mrs. Silvia away and bid goodbye to Gianna.

Gianna shook her head and entered the living room. "Mrs. Silivia has a point!" said Rick. "Which man wouldn't want you to be his girlfriend? So, stop wasting your time and start dating!" Gianna smirked and went to the kitchen. Rick followed behind her quickly and almost hit her when she suddenly stopped in her tracks. She turned around and said, "No normal man can handle me!"

Gianna walked into the kitchen, and Rick quickly stopped her. Rick sniffed around her two times and asked, "Did something happen in the hospital?" Gianna looked at him and said, "It's a hospital, and something or other keeps happening there." "Not that! Did someone forcefully hug you?" Gianna avoided his eye contact and moved away.

"Who hugged you?" asked Rick in an irritated tone. Gianna didn't respond and continued walking around the kitchen. Rick caught her right hand as she passed him and said, "If you don't tell me, I will hug you."

Gianna looked at him with furrowed eyebrows and said, "Don't go overboard, Rick!"
