Gianna slowly lifted her head from the table and noticed that it was almost evening. 'Why didn't he wake me up? We haven't had lunch yet!' thought Gianna as she stretched her body. The living room was empty and silent. She checked the bedroom, washroom, and kitchen, but Rick was not there! She recalled what Rick had said a few hours before and buried her face in her palms.
Gianna saw the t-shirt and pants neatly folded and placed on the foot of the bed. She looked around the house and let out a loud sigh of disappointment. "I didn't think he would really go! Did I hurt him? I trust you, Rick. I shouldn't have said that! I was kidding. I didn't want you to leave. I want to leave him, but at the same time, I want to hold him. I am really going crazy!!!!" mumbled Gianna as she leaned on the balcony door, looking at the distance.
"Why can't I find any information on the shareholders? It looks so mysterious! Who are these people to cover up with such high security," muttered Ben as he kept hacking the details of the shareholders of Angel Valley Hospital. "Ha! Which fool is trying to hack the hospital list? Why would they hack the hospital list out of nowhere?!" mumbled Roberto and called Gianna.
"Yes," responded Gianna as she answered the call. "G! Someone is trying to hack the hospital list from yesterday. Why would anyone try to hack the hospital list all of a sudden?" asked Roberto. Gianna thought over his question for some time, and a smirk appeared on her face.
She told Roberto to send a message to the hacker, who is trying to get in, and hung up the call. "Why do you want the hospital list, Rick? Were you the one who did a background check on me?" mumbled Gianna as she packed her duffle bag with a smirk on her face.
Ben didn't stop and kept on trying to break the firewall. "Is PERSES involved? I hope not!" mumbled Ben as he stopped typing. He was contemplating whether to continue when a message appeared on the screen in bold letters, and his eyes went wide in shock. He took a snap of the screen and sent it immediately to Rick. Ben tried to message back but couldn't and shut down the system immediately. He slumped down on the chair in shock and started to pray to all the Gods.
Rick was in between an important meeting when he received a message from Ben. He clicked on the picture and chuckled as he read the message in the picture. 'DON'T DIG INTO THINGS WHICH YOU SHOULDN'T, MR.RICK.' He excused himself and called Ben.
"Capo! We should heed the warning. If not, we are DOOMED!" said Ben in panic. "You know the person?" asked Rick as he scratched his head. "It's 'THE PERSES'. I have told you about him. He mentioned your name instead of mine. It's a strong warning, and we should stop, capo!" said Ben in a flustered tone. Rick hummed in response and hung up the call.
"Any problem," asked a man from behind. Rick smiled and asked, "Are you familiar with PERSES, a well-known hacker? More than well-known, the hackers use other terms such as legend, dark lord, destroyer, etc. He is the No:1 hacker in the world!" The man shook his head and said, "I will ask around!" They both chuckled and went inside the room to continue with their meeting.
The next day, Gianna woke up to her alarm sound and sat up slowly on the bed. "Let the day be peaceful!" said Gianna in a low husky voice and went to freshen up. "Good morning, Dr.G!" greeted the staff in the staff station. They all went for their usual rounds of check-ups.
Julia has returned to her cheerful manner and has focused solely on her recovery. "Your wounds are healed. We will schedule the next surgery soon," said Gianna as she checked the scan reports. Julia thanked all of them with a cheerful smile.
"Good morning, G!" greeted Alexi in a cheerful tone. "I heard you have improved a lot in physical therapy. Well done!" remarked Gianna. Alexi smiled brightly and asked, "How is your injury?" "It's fine now." "I told my parents I have a sister now to look after me, and they were happy." Gianna chuckled and said, "Good to know!" The team finished the rounds and entered the department room, except for Stanley. He had to arrange the charts in the staff station.
Stanley opened the door after 15 minutes but was welcomed by a sudden splash of water on his face. "Nooo!" groaned Stanley and walked towards Gianna.
"Dr.G! Dr.Ralph has been splashing water on my face for many weeks now!" whined Stanley. "So?" "He is splashing only on my face and not on Alice!" complained Stanley. "There would be a reason behind it!" Gianna turned to Ralph and asked, "How is the progression?" Ralph chuckled and said, "Better than me!" Gianna nodded and left the room with a mysterious smile.
Stanley didn't understand what reason would be there behind splashing the water on his face and dropped on the chair. "Dr.Ralph, what is the reason?" asked Alice. "You will know when your turn comes!" said Victor and left the room. Alice and Stanley looked at each other in confusion.
On the way to her office, her phone started to vibrate in her pocket. It was Dr.Henry, and she immediately answered the call. "Good morning, Dr.Henry! How was the seminar?" "Good morning, Gianna! Come to the chairman's office immediately!" said Dr.Henry and hung up the call.
"I suppose everything has been resolved with the family and the hospital. Ms. Nicole was indeed the best choice," mumbled Gianna as she walked towards the elevator.
