When something is on the brink of death, that is when they are the most dangerous.
*
Blood circulated through my body faster than it had every before. All of senses were turned up to maximum capacity. This was the result of a human's fight for survival.
I swung my sword around faster than I had every swung it before, it floated through the air and in one smooth motion, I pushed off the ground with my legs and launched myself away from the spider. In doing so, I was able to cut the head off the spider before I got bitten. I had escaped again, by the skin of my teeth. [Blood Blade] drank more and more blood from the spiders, becoming stronger.
However, I ended up crashing into the stone wall behind me. My body slammed into the sharp, hard surface and I instantly received cuts and bruises all throughout my legs and my back. The ground was now a mixture of blue blood with specs of red mixed in between. The wound on my left hand had reopened and now even more blood was dripping to ground.
I pulled myself up and raised [Blood Blade] once again. Blood was now covering almost the entire area. I felt stronger than I had ever felt before, this was the power of [Blood Strength]. I walked forwards and cut down the remainder of the spiders. My movements were simple yet slick, my blade moved through the air faster than it had ever moved before.
The corpses of the remaining spiders were also splattered across the ground. As I finally took a breath and looked around, I noticed that there was another monster approaching.
This was not good.
I was loosing more blood now, my head was starting to hurt. Dark red blood dripped down my leg, staining the ground below.
I forced my body to move and raised [Blood Blade] again. It appeared to be something that looked like the skeleton I fought before, however, it looked nowhere as strong. With the remainder of my strength, I charged at it and swung [Blood Blade].
I didn't realise how strong I had got.
The sword easily sliced through its neck, its body fell to the ground as soon as the head was cut off. My movements were so fast that it couldn't even react. I looked around and noticed all the experience I had just gotten, the entire area was filled with notification of gained experience.

However, I had reached a critical point.
My vision was getting blurry and I fell to my knees. I was now struggling to stay conscious as more and more blood flowed out of my body. It got to a point where I could no longer keep my eyes open.
Then it all went black.

Huh... where was I?
I looked around, there was stone, blue liquid, red blood, a sword, dust, pebbles strewn across the ground. Slowly, I pulled myself up to a seated position. I suddenly felt a stinging pain all across my body. I looked at my arms and legs, they were almost completely covered in blood. The ground was cold.
Oh... I'm still here.
I had managed to regain consciousness. As I looked around, I noticed that nothing had changed, I had no idea how much time had passed since I passed out. I managed to gather enough strength to stand up and I held onto the wall for support.
My entire body hurt a lot.
Slowly, one step at a time, I began walking further down the dungeon.
What was I going to do?
I had no where near enough strength to fight any monsters. My blood loss was so significant that any strength I gained by [Blood Strength] was lost due to the lack of energy in my body. I needed to get out of this dungeon.
Through the dark, dangerous cave, I continued limping through. I was very slowly covering ground, there was also a thin trail of blood behind me. My breathing was heavy and every once in a while, I would feel a sharp pain in my head.
At the beginning, I remember a voice telling me about emergency exits. I needed to get to one of them to get out of the dungeon. Once I did that I could buy a healing potion from the shop and heal my wounds for the most part.
Wait. I should have enough levels to level up now.
I dropped down and sat with my back against the wall. I opened up my experience menu.

I had no idea what 'Increased Vampiric Aura' meant. I also wasn't sure what the Haven Recovery Pod was but I could assume that it had something to do with healing.
Now that I had an extra stat point and more Vampire Tokens, I might be able to find some way to get myself out of here.

Strength: 4/100
Speed: 1+1/100
Agility: 1/100
Spatial Awareness: 1/100

I decided to put a stat point into speed in order to help me move whilst I was in this reduced state. Instantly, my body felt a little bit lighter.
I still was going to struggle, I decided to open up the shop and see if there was anything there that could possibly help me. I was able to access my normal shop anywhere but I could only access the Haven shop at the surface at that specific stall.

[Grenade] - 3 Vampire Tokens
[Increased Blood Capacity+] - 110 Vampire Tokens
[Random Common Ability] - 50 Vampire Tokens

There wasn't really anything that could effectively help me. The best compromise I could think of was just to buy the [Random Common Ability] and hope that it gives me something good, although, I had no idea what even the spectrum of abilities was.
I decided to bet my chips and hope for the best.
