Impressed

"Wake up miss". The Uber driver called out to her, and she snapped back into reality as she looked at the driver.

It took her a few seconds to remember she'd been on her way to a party.

After making the transfer to the driver, she left the car with a groan. If he'd been some seconds late to wake her, something terrible might have happened.

She felt as though getting hurt in such dreams might affect her in real life. And it seemed she couldn't wake herself once she fell into such trances.

Her eyes glance upward to take a look at the exotic house. It was in the form of three cuboids stacked at different angles. Most people from Chadiver University were from rich families-

Most of the walls in the house were see-through and the compound seemed to be quite large. The place was almost deserted since she'd come early, it would be likely most of the organizers that were present.

Fortunately, that would mean Gwen was present. She pulled out her phone to dial Gwen's number.

Although she'd been acquainted with a handful of coursemates, they all saw her as Gwen's hang-on.

"I'm outside".

"Ooh... you're early...", her voice sounded a bit off. "I'll... come get you". She added breathily. "Stop that! can't you see I'm on the phone?!".

Next came the sound of deep laughter.

Diane broke a cold sweat - Gwen was an unstoppable machine. "Don't worry if you're busy, I'll go in first".

"No, baby girl. I'm not busy at all".

"She is". Came the familiar voice of Dave from over the phone.

Didn't she break up with him yesterday?

"Before you ask- we're just helping ourselves". Gwen spoke up.

"You don't have to explain, I'll call you when I need you". She ended the call before Gwen could retort.

As she passes the gate, she took note of the amount of noise coming from the backyard. There must have been some kind of game going on because there were loud laughters.

"Stop right there, your ticket". A bouncer dressed in black stepped up.

'Ticket? Shit! No one said anything about a ticket'.

She gave an embarrassed smile to the man. "I..".

"Let her in!". A guy called out from the third floor of the cubic-shaped building. Beside him was a familiar blonde girl.

"Baby girl!". Gwen waved in her underwear. "Come to the third floor!". She called out before Dave gripped her neck to kiss her.

The bouncer let her in. They probably checked tickets so thieves won't waltz into the house.

The insides of the house was bigger than expected. There was a bar, the Dj was already playing music and different lights. Food and drinks and other party shit-

But the house itself looked like something only celebrities could afford. Just who was the owner?

About four people were seated in the Palour having drinks and laughing. Being too early to a party sucked.

She finally went up the spiral stairway. The second floor seemed to have the least see-through walls. It was probably where most of the rooms were.

After some more climbing, Diane came to the third floor. There weren't many doors on the highest floor and if she remembered correctly...

Gwen was in-

"Shit, sorry". She quickly slammed the door she'd opened. Two gay guys were eating each other out.

It was impossible to unsee that - position. And she also recognized one as Mark from MTH 401 class, he was like the Einstein of the class.

"It must be this one". She knocked on the door beside Mark's.

There was a little scurrying inside before the door came open halfway. It was Dave in his briefs, "Ohh, it's just you". His lewd eyes scanned her.

"Who is it, Dave?".

"Coming through". Diane pushed the door open to find her friend dressed in an oversized shirt, probably naked under.

Dave stopped her by the shoulder. "If you go any further, I would take it that you've agreed to a threesome".

"Ohh?". She sent him a belittled look. "I don't think you can handle me".

Gwen came forward to pull her friend towards the balcony. The room was as wide as her whole apartment, there were shelves of games and what seemed like a 49-inch ultra-wide curved monitor. From everything else, she could tell it was a guy's room.

"This house is pretty nice". She tried not to sound too impressed.

"Of course". Dave walked up behind him on the balcony. "It's my place". He smiled proudly wrapping his arms around both girls' shoulders.

Gwen laughed, "The structure is quite - creative. My house is literally a fortress". She sighed as though there was something else on her mind.

"Hey... You okay?" Diane asked concernedly.

"Yeah... yeah, I'm fine. It's just..." Gwen paused taking a deep breath. "I might get married before the year ends, my parents found someone".

Diane had never seen her friend look so blue. She was always so carefree and happy. "Since when". Her eyebrows furrowed in concern.

"Since our second year".

There was silence between all of them. Everyone had always seen Gwen as an open book, someone who had no secrets. To hear her talk about marriage was shocking.

"That sucks". Dave looked up to the sky. The mood has gone sour. "Let's play a game to get our mind off this crap".

"I'm down". Diane spoke up first although she wasn't a fan of such. Playfully, they both dragged Gwen back into the room. "What game?". She expected them to say truth or dare.

"Cards". He raised a hand to stop her from speaking. "But it's not your normal card game, I bought them online". He began to search under the bed for a little box, inside it was the stack of black cards. "There's a question written on each card, they're kinda nasty though so I wanted to play it with a lot of people".

He took some seconds to shuffle the cards upside down before dropping them on the floor in their midst.

Diane decided to go first, after taking up the first card - she froze.

"What? what does it say?". The look on her face piqued Gwen's interest.

She gulped. "Bite the butt of the person to your left". Her worried eyes turned to Dave who was at her left.

'The hell are these cards?'.
