Things had settled down a little bit, so we no longer had to worry about Esther or Mikael. That didn't mean that we weren't still on edge. Dean, Sam, Crowley, and Bobby left town. They went to go see if they could find Cain and what The First Blade entailed.
It felt like we were all waiting for the other shoe to drop. This wasn't over, not really.
I'm just really for all of this to be over. I think we all are. Some of us are still teenagers, for Christ's sake! When will we just get to worry about the things that high school students are supposed to worry about?
I can't remember the last time something supernatural-related didn't dominate my life. When all of this is over, I think we should all go on vacation. Goddess knows that we need it.
"Hey, you okay?" Stiles asked me, walking into my bedroom. I just shrugged. It seemed like the easiest thing to do. I didn't know if I was and I didn't want to lie to him.
"Are any of us, really?" I answered, instead. He gave me a small, wry smile, before joining me in bed. I snuggled against his chest and his arms wrapped around me.
"We're going to get through this and maybe after we do, we can actually enjoy just being a couple." Stiles mused.
"That sounds perfect." I breathed.
"Oh, shit!" Someone yelled from downstairs. That didn't sound good.
"If only it could be that easy…"
