Closer Together: Hannah

"It's okay," he assured me. "They've checked the car. It's safe. We will get home and bunker down for a little while to give us some peace of mind. Things will be okay. We just have to take it one step at a time. Like getting home right now."

"Okay," I breathed. "You're right."

Together, we moved to the car and got inside. One bodyguard sat next to me, while the other two sat up front.

It was always a bit of a weird feeling to transition back to the back seat. It reminded me of being a kid. I didn't like it. It was necessary, though, as it was safer to have them up front.

An idea came to mind and I looked to Roman.

"Do you think maybe we should get new cars?" I asked.

"Maybe it would help things. We could move about town a little easier."
