Chapter 38

　　“Good Morning, Mr. Sleeves. I’ve been trying to reach you.” Vanessa, Adam's secretary, rose to her feet the moment he approached her desk.

　　“Something important came up which was why I couldn’t attend the meeting. Apologize to the clients on my behalf and reschedule.”

　　Adam was about to proceed to his office when Vanessa stopped him with her words. “You have visitors, Sir.”

　　“Who?” He frowned.

　　By the way Vanessa was trembling, Adam could tell it was who he didn’t want to see.

　　“Your Father and Sister!”

　　“Why the hell did you all let them in?” Sleeves tried to control his temper.

　　“We tried, Mr. Sleeves. But your Father threatened to fire us all.” She said with pleading eyes.

　　Adam mumbled some incoherent words, then helped himself to his office.

　　He barged in and saw his Father and Amanda comfortably seated on the visitors' chair opposite his desk.
