53. The Tongue of A Snake

Zarina looked a bit suspicious of my words. Actually, she didn't come alone this morning. Besides that zombie man, she was kind of a kid, very dark-skinned and faceless. Its feet were exchanged. I didn't want to talk about this creature but it seemed that it was also able to recognize this flower.

Zarina put the flower closer to that creature and it sniffed it. Apparently, she wanted to make sure if I cheated on her or not. It means that that creature also knew which was fire lily, which was not, but perhaps the accuracy was less. That was the reason she kept me here.

It ever crossed my mind why the Manjis planted that seed. What was their purpose? Was it what I was thinking? I looked at the wall on my side that was filled up with roots so that they were full of cracks. Some places were having fissures open for almost a half centimeter.
