{Selina Kyle POV}
It was quite surprising even to myself when I decided to adopt the beautiful child I found in the backalley all those years ago.
One of the reasons I took him in is because I thought he was a she and boy was I surprised when I found the her was a he.
I gave the child my name so he became Nicholas Kyle Dunamis.
The baby was very behaved which certainly helped with my decision to keep him as no matter how horrid this city was I would not take care of a burden when I can only take care of myself or I could have just sent him to an orphanage outside the city.
Either way I took him in and got attached. It certainly helped when Hecate didn't reject him and the newborn Isis like him. The then small Otto also stupidly cuddled with him though I quickly separated them when that happened, couldn't let the baby get sick. It was only later I found that the baby never got sick which was curious but I didn't know that much about babies anyway.
As he grew I found he was a curious yet patient child as even though I could sense his longing to know more he held it in and didn't rashly jump around to find out.
Another thing I found is that my adopted son/younger brother is a freaking genius as I am sure I couldn't talk at 6 months old nor could I crawl at 7 months and walk at 9 months old.
When I taught him to read and gave him books he quickly absorbed the knowledge like a dry sponge in water.
When he turned 3 a change took place, he started acting more mature at times and more childish at others. He started studying even more and learning even faster. I did not know if this was healthy for him and limited the amount he could do in a day and made him spend time with me and the cats.
After he turned 3 I also found that he was strangely exited whenever he saw me, I assumed it was because of him seeing me slip out of the house as Catwoman.
After that time he asked me more more books of higher levels which I happily have him as I had quite the stash of money and didn't mind spending on him. I noticed the majority of these books this time were based of computer sciences. It was only a year later I found out he was studying hacking to help me. I was so happy but at the same time a little conflicted after all I was bringing him into crime. It would be bad not just because of the issue of morality which I admit mine is skewed but also because if he gets caught he will likely have to go to a correction school and I will loose custody of Nick.
So I decided on a test. I knew of a collectors house that I have infiltrated before and knew enough about the collector to escape should he catch wind of us. I had also hacked into his house before but it took quite a bit of time and was difficult to avoid detection. So I was very surprised when I saw Nick easily get through the security systems, hack the whole network and leave undetected. The other emotion that I was feeling was none other than pride. Pride that it was my Nick that could easily hack into a secure house which had likely updated its firewalls after last time I stole from there.
I then allowed him to help me after I was sure he is unlikely to be caught. My, no our next heist was quite easy as I wanted him to get used to feeling and it went of without a hitch.
I gave him half the money as a reward for his contribution and let him do with as he pleased but still checked what he did. She was shocked that Nick thought of investment instead of buying new books or parts of technology he had tried to build earlier.
Another peaceful year went by where even the Bat was unable to keep track of me thanks to Nick, having a partner helps a lot, though Batsy was getting dangerously close so we decided to temporarily change city.
Nick sometimes is either too humble or underestimates himself as he keeps saying that his skills are not good enough but I don't argue much as improving yourself is always good.
After the latest heist when we were relaxing I noticed that Nick suddenly stiffened and his face turned pale.
"What happened to you?", I asked him worriedly S I checked if he had a fever which he did not. He seemed to be in pain and groaned once before collapsing. I panicked and ruched towards my bike and took off towards the hospital. Maybe I should have bought a car. While on the way I noticed some blue line markings appearing and disappearing on his face and arms. Seeing this I stopped going towards the hospital and after making up my mind quickly went towards Wayne Manor which probably alerted 'him' and I ruched to the door. The door was opened by an old man by the name of Alfred Pennyworth.
"Welcome to Wayne Manor, Miss Kyle", he said before seeing Nick in my arms after which he quickly stepped aside and let me through and led me to the study room where I saw 'him' standing there looking at me.
I looked at him and then said,"I need your help".
Bruce Wayne AKA Batman looked at me then at Nick who was lying in my arms and turned towards the grandfather clock and did something which made it open but I could not see as he covered the clock with his body.
The clock opened inwards and he went inside.
"Come in"
