BloodLust Remastering...gone wrong.

Chapter 4

"Say, Victor, try to feel how to feel my intent," Ivy.

"Why?" Victor.

"Just do it," Ivy.

"Huh? Of course, I can...Eh? Wait, what?! I can't feel your intent anymore, what's going on?!"

"Just as I thought, the skill didn't cement in you enough, plus you weren't awake for 3 months and your 2 months of physical training, you haven't used bloodlust in 5 months and now you've forgotten how to," Ivy.

"This is terrible! I liked that skill, how could I have forgotten how to use it so easily? Especially on how many beatings I had to collect to use learn it"

"You held a grudge?" Ivy

"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't."

"You were weak, now we have to learn that skill again before the sword" Ivy.

"Oh, the misery"

She took me to the tree we sat the first time I had to learn bloodlust, her cabin, and her hideout were two different places.

"This tree gives me a type of warmth, I can't explain it"

Ivy looked at the and then back at me.

"I'll explain bloodlust is from the beginning; It's a skill that lets you sense an opponent's intent through their blood flow and other external factors, like where they're looking, how their breathing, what pose there making, even the aura they're giving out, can be used to tell their intentions. I came up with this skill the first three days I came to this mountain," Ivy

"Huh? Three...days? A random skill that's this OP was invented and perfected to this level was done in...three days?"

I was shocked, Is she that much of a genius?

"I'd say there is more to this skill than what I know now, but that should be another matter in general, no sidetracking!" Ivy.

"Yes, ma'am!"

"Now close your eyes and concentrate on me, you should be able to feel something again like last time, "Ivy.

I closed my eyes and went into deep concentration...I kept focusing on her...but I couldn't feel anything, unlike the first time, I'm not feeling anything.

"Hmm... nothing's happening, I don't feel your intent, Ivy"

"It sometimes depends on external factors to tell what someone's going to do, all you have to do Is feel that factor, and then bloodlust should come easy,"

"So I should stare at you the entire time?"

"Use your other senses like hearing," Ivy.

I closed my eyes again, and everything went blank, then I opened my eyes, and I think I fell asleep.

"This explanation has some holes here and there, at first when I had to learn this skill, I had to get beat up so bad then later when I came down, I learned in an instant, I couldn't even explain how I did it, it was like... instinct, now that I have to learn it from this kind of instructions it feels...off, like someone explaining to me how to breathe,"

"So what do you suppose we do, unlike last time, I've calmed down and I want you to learn this skill the right way," Ivy.

Why 'did' I learn it so fast the last time?

Was it something she did? Think, Victor, think!

"Hey, Ivy, can I use my powers to look back in time to check how I got it?"

"I told you, you aren't allowed to use your powers through the entirety of our sessions together, no green glows until I say so, got it!"Ivy.

"But this is important, can't I just look back at least once, I won't do it again I promise."

"Has your memory become so weak that you can't think that far without having to use your grace? "

"You're always like this, I didn't say I couldn't think that far, but if there's something we've missed in the past, I can see it and we can get the secret to how I learned B.L faster!"

"Raising your voice to me?!" Ivy.

"If I don't you won't hear me! Tch! Forget this, I'm leaving, thanks for the training sessions!"

I was slightly afraid after I said that, but I couldn't back down now, I walked past her and headed back to her cabin to get my stuff.

As I was about to leave the cabin, I saw her sitting outside sharpening a stick.

"I'm leaving..." I said.

"Good riddance, "Ivy.

As I was about to leave, I turned back and asked her to fight me.

What was going through my head?

"I'm not in the mood to hold back, just leave. Now!" Ivy.

I threw a rock at her hand and she dropped the stick she was sharpening and then glared at me.

"You're dead, kid!"Ivy

She dashed at me and gave me a punch to the face.

"I could have sworn I dodged it!"

I landed them and ran towards her trying to punch her back, she parried my hand and kicked me in the stomach.

"Argh!"

I tried to spin and kick her but she cut my leg and elbowed my knee.

"Gahhh!!"

She kicked me and I crashed into a bunch of trees.

Our... abilities were still this far apart?! What have I been doing this whole time?

I activated my grace, my eyes glowed green and could see all her attacks before they could hit me.

She came again trying to punch me but I dodged, then as I was about to land a punch she caught my hand.

"I'll show you why bloodlust is far superior to your worthless precognition, "Ivy.

She held my hand and assaulted me with a series of punches. I coughed out blood and I think I had a bunch of cracked ribs.

I saw all her attacks coming, but...s she kept changing them so that my foresight couldn't keep up with them.

She punched me into another tree and held me by the neck on it.

"You're weak, and now I'm bloodlusted! I won't hold back, "Ivy.

"Wait, wait, I'm sorry please... don't"

I cried.

While my back was still on the tree she lifted me and began to squeeze my neck.

"Ggtchhh!"

I couldn't breathe and the more she tightened her grip the tree and my neck began to crack.

"Wai...t"

"I told you were weak..." Ivy.

She made a tight fist with her other hand.

"Die, and this time...stay dead, "Ivy.

She punched through my face.

**********************

"ARGGGHHHH!!!"

"Huh? what's wrong?" Ivy.

"I'm...alive?"

"You dosed off, you idiot," Ivy.

"I...fell asleep?"

"I wanted to wake you but, you've been training for two months diligently so I thought I'd give you a break," Ivy.

I fell asleep and had that very realistic nightmare...what if I did say all those things and challenged Ivy to a real fight... would I win or end up like my dream self, with a shoulder with a head?

"Go take a rest bit, since this is a new month and all, I'll give you just today as your day off, then tomorrow we'll learn how you can get bloodlust," Ivy said with a smile, then walked away.

Honestly, I know it was a dream but I'm legitimately scared of her now, phew, thank God that was just a dream...

I fell back on the ground and stared upwards at the leaves.

"Life... shouldn't be wasted..."
