Building A Castle

After a long day at work, when Daniel returned home, he saw Amelia and Evelyn standing there. All of a sudden, the home that had been cold for so long seemed to be colored in shades of warmth.

It wasn't lonely or dull anymore.

"Welcome home!" Little Eve grinned.

Evelyn was dressed in a pink dress and had a fancy crown— embedded with multicolored jewels— on her head.

Beside her was Amelia. Although her eyes showed reluctance, a gentle smile sat on her face. On her head was a childish crown as well in a shade of purple.

Excited Eve skipped over to her dad and held on to his hand, pulling it. She animatedly complained, "Dad, do you know how long mom and I have been waiting for you?

How come you are so late? I was about to fall asleep if not for my strong willpower. Come on. Quickly wash up."

Wondering what got Evelyn so enthusiastic, Daniel looked at Amelia, seeking for an explanation.

"She wants to build a castle together."
