Nasty

She held the badge in her hand high, feeling proud, and grinned wide. The dimples emerged, and her blue eyes were sparkling due to her immense happiness.

"Look at what this is, dad!" Evelyn exclaimed.

Daniel pursed his lips into a thin line and wore a confused expression. He read the words on the badge before slowly asking, "Badge for being the class president? Could it be that Evelyn is now the class president?"

She nodded.

"Yeah! I am the class president. The teacher announced it today. Don't you think it is cool? Everyone was jealous of me. The teacher praised me a lot. The teacher called me good girl."

Daniel kissed on his daughter's cheek and commented, "That you are. My Evelyn is amazing."

Edgar scoffed.

"Why are you lying, Danny? Is it just to play along with her? Be honest. You think it is lame as well, don't you? What is great about being goody-two-shoes? It is so boring. Obviously you should have fun like me."
