Fiercely

Edgar planned to stay at school after the classes ended in order to practice basketball. Meanwhile, Evelyn decided to wait for him in the library, taking out the book she had recently taken a liking to read.

She flipped the page while her eyes scanned over the content. The window was open, letting in the slightly chilly breeze. It felt refreshing.

The sight of her reading created a picturesque image, and Landon who walked over found himself being stunned. He couldn't remove his gaze from her for a second.

He cleared his throat, snapping back to his senses, and Evelyn noticed his presence. She turned her head, and faint creases appeared between both of her eyebrows upon seeing him here but they soon disappeared.

"Evelyn, what a surprise to see you here. You haven't gone home yet?" he voiced out. There was obvious joy present in his tone.

Evelyn said, "I am waiting for Edgar to finish his practice."
