Evelyn had him pinned against the wall. Raising her head, she glared at him angrily, showing off her dissatisfied mood well.

Instead of being shaken off by how intimidating she appeared then, the corner of his lips curved up to a smile, and he said, "Why are you being so violent suddenly? I am hungry and didn't get to finish my meal."

"Edgar, seriously, what's your problem? Could it be that I have offended you? Do you have to bring that up in front of my parents? I keep your secrets, but you, you can't even do the bare minimum," she expressed.

He pursed his lips into a thin line.

"Why are you being silent now?" She brought her face closer to him.

He sighed.

"You will never understand my feelings, will you?" he questioned, sounding despondent.

Disgust showed on her face before she raised her knee to stab his thigh. A hiss left his mouth at the pain, and he furrowed his eyebrows.
