It's not that I like Landon more than you or something. It's just that I need a friend with whom I can discuss about my favorite books with, and he is perfect for that."

Edgar frowned.

Of course, he knew that. This wasn't the first time Evelyn mentioned this to him, but even so, he still felt unsettled.

"It shouldn't be only him. There are many people who likes books," Edgar stated.

"Isn't it more convenient to be with him? After all, where am I going to find other people? And what's the issue with him? Landon's a nice boy. Why don't you like him?" Evelyn raised one of her eyebrows.

He pursed his lips into a thin.

"He is weird."

"How come? He is pretty normal," Evelyn answered.

"He likes you, and I don't like that."

The corner of Evelyn's lips twitched at that.
