"After the storm, there was calm."

I had to spend the night at Jabari's to avoid sleeping on the streets. After our conversation last night, I knew I shouldn't be there. 

He was the guy Chris' fiance cheated on him with and now, I can't be in the picture too. Not like I felt I belonged to Chris, I just was trying to avoid further problems between the two. Chris claimed he loves me and Jabari does have intentions for me. Intentions I shouldn't let him profess. 

But his personality was quite sweet. I know they usually pretend to be the good guy at the onset but it was natural with him. 

The morning came, and I was glad. If I could leave early enough, the chances of Chris bumping into me or catching a glimpse of me leaving this house would be slim.
