Camping

The camping activity that the second-grade students of SMA 70 had eagerly awaited finally took place; he said this activity would be enjoyable from the dizzying series of school activities, but not for me. I don't like crowds, and going out into the open is not my choice to please myself.

Kai has come to my house since 06.15 am. She is very excited because this is an activity she likes, an extreme and challenging activity. Today I woke up late because, at night, I watched my favorite Netflix series until midnight.

"Diga, let's get up. Kai has arrived here," my mother shouted from downstairs even though her voice was faint, but the sound always became an alarm for me to wake up.

After I was ready, I immediately went downstairs to see Kai chatting and eating my mother's homemade fried rice. The conversations are always fun for the two, from plants, cooking, and today's movies.

"This is the lunch box, huh! You are one; Kai is one. Don't eat, don't sleep at night, and don't forget to use lotion, so you don't get bitten by mosquitoes," my mother said as she put her lunch in my bag.

"Ga? Are you serious about going out into nature wearing jeans?" Kai asked with a confused expression on his face.

"Why?"

"I swear you'll change. Sorry, it's good to be out in the open anyways, wearing material or training pants," Kai explained, his mouth full of fried rice, but he still had time to scold me.

At school with Kai, I saw other students passing by, waiting for the signal to get on the bus.

"See you later!" Kai said because we both had to split up into our respective classes.

One classmate is quite close to me, and his behavior and behavior are very similar; the difference is that his seniors have bullied him because of his naivety. I saw him sitting under a tree eating a sandwich that his mother often brought him. In the left corner, there was already a senior who often played pranks on Farhan, who had noticed his movements.

I, with minimal courage, tried to protect Farhan.

"Oi, just stay alone," I said to Farhan and immediately gave the code using my eyes to glance at the senior.

Farhan stopped eating his sandwich and pulled me to sit next to him.

"Just come here, please," he begged, whispering.

The loudspeaker from the front of the field has heard loudly, indicating that all second-grade students must immediately tidy up their ranks with their respective classes. Right now, I'm just focusing on the student council who is talking in front, explaining the various regulations related to camping activities that will take place.

This activity will hold for two days and one night. The school provides all the food and medicine; all activities will run smoothly if you also follow this direction, "said Rio, the head of the third-class student council who was talking.

I immediately scratched my head because I had already imagined how busy it was.

"Utomo's Prediction. You belong to the rose group," said the student council sister in front of me.

I immediately sighed because I had to fight all the fears inside me, but life is like this; there are many events I can't control. A lot of surprises are sometimes very contradictory to me; the only one I can control is myself.

All ranks have disbanded because they will enter the transporter car belonging to the TNI-AD, which the school has rented.

"Dek, you'll be my mentor later," said Sis Rara, a student council member who will be the supervisor of the rose squad.

I looked for Kai along the way because I wanted to see his face, who must be excited about this camping agenda. When I caught Kai's presence, I saw that he was busy chatting with the student council brother, who seemed to be his troop guide.

The pitch-black color of his eyes seemed to enjoy the ongoing conversation, as well as the male student council senior who looked into Kai's eyes seriously. A smile crept into Kai's mouth.

Suddenly a feeling of jealousy overtook me; emotions that I could never express seemed like a revolt pounded my mouth, which had been silent for so long. I can only muffle this annoyance in silence. I understand my position is only as a friend to him.

"Come on, all of our children, let's go," said Mr. Woto as his hand directed the students to the transporter car.

The atmosphere inside the transporter is stuffy and hot, and the smell of all the bodies as one unit makes me dizzy and want to expel all the contents of my stomach. I tried to hold back, but when the car found a road full of potholes, all my guts came out. Several times my head was hit by the body of this transporter which made my head dizzy even more.

All eyes were on me; Rara sat next to me. She deliberately took the plastic bag provided to me.

"Here, let me wipe it," said Sis Rara in a soft voice. It's different if Kai is next to me, she must have scolded me while helping to wipe everything. Kai's concept of kindness that Kai always shows, even though not many people agree.

"Thank you," I said shyly.

The journey led me to think that we as humans always need other creatures because there will be times when we will be far from the most comfortable human in this life.

That life is about learning from one problem to another, from one event to another, but many, me and most other people find it difficult to interpret it all.

Our transporter car entered the Cibubur area, a camp or camping place for every school; the shady trees amazed me. There was a park in these big, shady trees in the middle of a noisy city.

I started to imagine the beautiful things that would happen at camp, about being together, helping each other to become one with nature.

"Our brothers and sisters have entered the camping area. Please tidy up all your belongings because the event venue is far from the parking," said Ms. Rara.

When I just got out of the car, Kai was still chatting with the student council's brother and looked more intimate while carrying a cardboard box of bottled water.

I just took a deep breath until I didn't realize that Rara had been calling me for help.

"Dek, please help me carry this, okay?" he said, pointing at the cardboard containing the food for us to eat later.

I immediately smiled and helped him; finally, we had prepared to walk together towards the hall. However, as if someone along the way saw me together with Rara's sister.
