'Missy, do you not see your cousin? Do you not see how focused she is on her meal?' Donna looked at Gina and tears rolled down her face.

'Mother, you are crying.' Missy stood up and went to her mother's side.

'Missy, please, sit and eat your meal.' Donna began to sob. She could not act strong anymore for indeed, she was weak.

'How can I eat my meal with you crying right beside me? Tell me mother, whatever is the problem?' Missy held her mother's shoulder.

Missy had never seen her mother cry. Donna was a woman who tried her best to keep a front of strength but that was not who she was.

When she married Benedict and discovered his addiction, she tried to help him out, but he always found his way back to drinking.
