Chapter 39 Congo-Geneve-Ulaanbataar, Towards the Gobi Facility
After resting for a few days at the Last Alamo, the three women who made it back safely from their thrilling adventure in the Congo Basin were ready to go to the Gobi facilities. A mysterious place that promised the world could recover from a terrible pandemic that had claimed hundreds of millions of lives around the world.
Cecilia opened the map as a result of solving Doctor Aslan's long puzzle on the way on a Gulfstream plane which was piloted by Luigi himself. Park and Darko guarded The Kitchen. Luigi would wait in Ulaanbataar until Cecilia and company returned from the Gobi Facility.
The latest news from Cathy mentioned that Sefu had been secured in the Gobi Facility. Professor Mbutu's team started the experiments to parse chromosomes from Sefu. It took several weeks for the first serum to be tested on experimental animals and several months for testing on human subjects.
Ice Anti-Virus Serum had shown a 100% success rate in humans after being tested dozens of times on infected human objects. The next step was to mass produce it in a large pharmaceutical facility.
To secure samples of the Ice Anti-Virus Serum, Professor Sato and his team gave it a code name Serum SAVE, Professor Raul Hernandez in collaboration with Professor Lian Yang and assisted by Cathy, created a digitally encrypted formula. In a case of catastrophic situation if the physical sample was destroyed, they have recorded the formula in a safe place. But the small ampoules extracted from cosmic and gamma radiation from Object X that have been hijacked by the Organization, must not get damaged or lost at all.
The small ampoules, which were placed in special radiation-proof, explosion-proof, waterproof, and fire-proof suitcases which was kept in the most secret room of the Gobi Facility known only to the Professors.
Right now they were focusing on Sefu. Cathy explained that the guards who were brought in by the Gobi Facility owner were on high alert because they received information that the Organization was preparing a large-scale attack on the Gobi Facility. There were even rumors that the Organization would use nuclear weapons as a last resort to attack the facility.
Cecilia sighed several times. She prayed that Andalas would complete his mission quickly. Before they nuked the Gobi Facility.
Akiko read Andalas's messages on her X-One. Four targets had been eliminated. Three targets from Organization and one from OWC. He was in Jakarta for the next OWC official hunting mission. Prince Al Lahab? I've heard my father mentioned that name before in a fierce tone.
So when would she be able to meet the man who had taken her heart? Akiko desperately hoped that she would not meet him in a coffin. She could die because of it.
Lian Xi was the only person seriously researching the map to the Gobi Facility. From Ulaanbataar they had to travel overland for several hours before entering the desert.
When they got there, The Kitchen would air dropped a special desert vehicle. Then they would follow the navigation guide that has been installed on the vehicle based on the coordinates on the map. Based on The Kitchen's calculations with the existing coordinate database, the trip through the desert would take up to 10 hours.
Sefu arrived at the Gobi Facility with different procedures. He was dropped by parachute from a small plane chartered by Luigi in Ulaanbataar at a coordinate sent by the security chief of the Gobi Facility. As soon as the plane arrived at the predetermined location and Sefu was savely picked up by the security team, the coordinated was automatically erased from plane's navigation memory.
This was done to eliminate pattern of how to get to the Gobi Facility. Lian Xi was sure that this map would either be burned or destroyed once they arrived at the Gobi Facility. The security team for the Huang brothers was not inferior to Doctor Aslan's team in terms of technological and caution.
The journey to Ulaanbataar was long. They were able to continue the rest which they felt was still not enough to wash away the fatigue brought from the River Zaire and Cuvette Centrale.

The Chairman pounded the table. This was too much. The organization lost tragically. Three of its leaders died in a gruesome way. All in the same way. They were shot by Sako TRG 42 bullets on their chests. The killer was a very experienced person and had extraordinary abilities. All murders were being investigated by local police officers as well as by the Organization.
All three had a similar pattern. Targets were shot by the Sako TRG 42 sniper gun from places where one could not imagine firing.
"We have to stop this person. I've told the Executor to handle this directly. He will fly to Hong Kong. He will extract information from the Consultant. He must know something. The Executor will get information about this killer one way or another!"
"What about using nukes to destroy the Gobi Facility?" the question was asked by a stunning woman whose accent sounded from Russia. She succeeded her father who recently died due to an illness in Moscow as the youngest member of the Organization.
The Chairman took a deep breath. He was furious.
"Well. We need to be able to find the exact location first before launching the ICBM."
The Huang brothers' faces changed ever so slightly. The organization did have a nuclear Inter Continental Ballistic Missile at their secret facility in the Himalayas. The same place where they secured Object X since they acquired it from Pandora's Laboratory.

Stepmother observed from the giant monitor screen in her cozy office in Zurich. OWC troops were approaching an abandoned warehouse near the Hong Kong port. She could watch live feed through the camera mounted on the squad leader's Kevlar helmet.
They believed that the Consultant was in the warehouse. Their mission was to get information about Hugo Caciedo killer. OWC special forces were dispatched to capture the Consultant.
Stepmother was startled when she saw flashes and fierce gunshots. The OWC troops were met with heavy enemy fire. From the camera, Stepmother could see the OWC team leader managed to shoot one of the enemies. The body lay in front of the squad leader. Dressed in all black and wore a mask that covered the face except for the eyes and nose.
From the camera, Stepmother could also see squad leader examine the enemy's corpse by removing his mask and clothes. Uh, Japanese! When the corpse was turned upside down for further examination, the back was covered with a samurai tattoo wrapped around a dragon. Stepmother hissed loudly.
