The Creature’s Maw, III

I just stayed there.

I didn't move while Mai let out her emotions.

Things won't be the same as they were before, that is true.

But at least we are on speaking terms with each other.

We won't have that angry, gloomy, or whatever aura around us.

"Shit… shit…" She smacked my chest lightly with her soft punches.

I took a hold of that hand slowly.

I brought it up to my forehead.

Ah, how sad it is… That such hands, the hands of such person have to go through this…

At that moment, I think I was fully filled with emotions of sadness and bitterness.

During the time Elias was training and speaking with Mai, everyone was already awake.

They spectated.

They didn't want to interrupt the rebuild of a broken vase.

Piece by piece, shard by shard, gluing it together.

If someone pushed the guy who was attaching it, they would be destroyed all over again.

And so, they were silently listening.
