Siblings

After knowing Lucius could write, Mary asked him a lot of questions.

"Lucius, what is this place? Why does everything here seem so abnormal?"

He looked at her and thought for a while and wrote. I don't know where this place is and the people here are abnormal because the doctor threw every failed experiment here.

"Then, do you know what he wants to make?"

He shook his head and wrote. I don't know but I know that whenever we were made we would feel really hungry and lose our minds.

"What do you mean?"Mary asked, curiously.

Lucius continued. Well, we would lose our minds and eat whoever is in front of us. But I didn't lose consciousness.

"Oh, well that's impressive!"Mary said, impressed.

He looked at Mary and smiled. But his smile was unusual this time. It felt like he was forcing a smile.

Mary looked at him for a while and continued asking, changing the subject. She asked, "So, do you have any siblings?"

Lucius looked at her and nodded. He wrote. I have a twin brother.

"Oh!" Mary said, astonished."Who is the younger one?"

He wrote. Me. Do you have any siblings?

"Yes, I do. I have a younger brother. So, can you kinda draw what he looks like?"

He looked at her, confuse.

"Don't tell me, you don't know drawing."

He shook his head, looking quite guilty that he didn't know.

Mary snatched the pen and napkin out of his hand and drew a little flower on the corner of the napkin.

"This is a drawing."She said, pushing back the napkin and the pen to him.

He put his hand on his chin and nodded. He took the pen and attempted to draw. Mary looked around the table and took an apple pie.

When she was about to eat it. She felt a poke on her shoulder. She looked at him with an annoyed expression and then looked at his art.

Mary was astonished, she even dropped her pie and yelled. "Did you draw this in such a short amount of time!?"

He nodded proudly. Mary took the napkin and examined the art. The art was so real, it looked like a real person, looking at her and from what she told him to draw. This must be his brother. But they don't look alike.

"Are you fraternal twins?" She asked.

He looked at Mary and shook his head. He wrote on the side of his art. We were identical but the experiment change our appearance.

"Oh, so you two look different now?"

He nodded.

"So, wanna try drawing my brother?"

He nodded excitedly and readied his pen.

She explained her brother's appearance slowly in every detail.

For some reason, he stopped and stared at the double door.

Mary said. "What-" She stopped.

His eyes were sharp and his tail stopped shaking happily like he always did. His sharp claws looked like they were ready to strike and his ears were standing up straight like he heard something.

Suddenly, he turned back to Mary, beaming. He looked relaxed now and his eyes were round.

Then, his eyes turned sharp again and he opened his mouth, revealing his sharp fangs. He dashed towards Mary. Mary took a step back and closed her eyes. She thought.

I knew it, I shouldn't have believed him.

Then, she heard a squeak. It sounded like a mouse. She opened her eyes slowly and saw blood dripping down his mouth.

A mouse was stabbed by his fangs. It wasn't struggling, she could tell it was dead.

He spat the mouse on the floor and wiped off the blood on his mouth with his sleeve. He noticed Mary looking at him and he smiled, innocently.

She looked at the mouse and turned to look at Lucius's mouth.

She thought. He killed the mouse so mercilessly. Will he kill me so casually too? I need to be careful around him.
