Lucius saw Mary disappear into the darkness. He looked into the broken floor and hissed loudly. But there were only echoes of his hiss.
He glanced left and right, didn't know what to do.
He thought. How deep is the hole? Will she die due to the height? No! No! Please, don't! She's the only one I have left.
He gripped a paper tightly in his palm, kneeling on the floor.
I'm so useless! I never change! Never have I ever changed! I'm still pathetic and weak. I can't even save anyone neither my mother nor Mary. I'm so useless!
He raised his fist and slammed it to the floor, mad at himself. The wooden floor broke, it couldn't hold his strength and he fell into the hole too.
He fell to the floor with a loud thud. He hissed while rubbing his head. He looked up and found himself in a lightly dim room.
He glanced left and right. He saw a stone hearth flickered with blazing fire. Then, he slowly turned to see a round coffee table and there was an armchair beside it.
He saw a person sitting on it. He slithered closer and saw Mary on the armchair. She was tied to it with what seemed like white sticky, spider web. She was unconscious.
He dashed to her. When he was closed, he felt something hit the side of his body and sent him flying. He hit on the wall but for some reason, he was stuck. He couldn't move.
He gazed down at his body but there was nothing on him. He used his hand to try to rip off whatever was on him.
As his hands were close to his body, something hit his hands and it was stuck on the wall like his body.
Then, he heard a soft and smooth voice."My.My.What do we have here? An annoying boy?"It sounded like a lady's voice. Then, the room went quiet.
He glanced up, he looked left and right but there was no one there. He looked at Mary again and hissed loudly, calling her. But she was still out cold.
Then again, his mouth got stuck by something he couldn't see. The soft lady's voice reappeared but it sounded annoyed.
It let out a sigh and said."Why does every man need to be so annoying? Ugh...I don't get you all. Now-"
It was cut off by Lucius. Lucius kept swinging his tail left and right, knocking all the things on the floor.
Where is it? He thought as he continued to swing his tail. If only I could find it and force it to somehow release me and Mary.
His tail was stuck on the floor like the rest of his body parts but this time the sticky thing was visible.
He moved his head around and saw all his body parts were wrapped in white sticky, spider webs.
"Can't you just quit it!?"The voice wasn't soft anymore. It was yelling, furiously.
Lucius looked in the direction that the voice came from. There stood a woman(long dark hair, sharp black eyes, sharp face shape) standing next to Mary.
Lucius observed her. She had a number on her cheek written No.001 and on her lower half were 8 hairy, spider legs.
She turned her view away from Lucius and to Mary. She leaned in to get a closer look at Mary's face. She used her finger to grab Mary's face and pushed it up a little to let her see clearer.
As she was doing that Lucius growled, aggressively at her. She looked at him, annoyed and disgusted.
"What are you growling for!? Can't you just shut up for once!?"She yelled at him.
Lucius continued growling.
"You rotten bastard! You don't understand a thing I say, do you!? Fine!If you want to play it that way."
She walked to a closet at the very side of the room and took something inside of it.
It was a wooden baseball bat. She turned and stared at him, smiling devilishly.
"Now, let's see. Will you shut up?"She said in a low dangerous voice.
