CALL THE POLICE

The gatekeeper arrives at Mr Richard's house just as his boss instructed, he bows to greet him on sight of him.

"Have a seat." Mr Richard offers.

"Thank you sir." He replies as he takes the offer. "My madam asked me to come and collect the drugs from you sir."

"Oh yes!" Mr Richard smiles. "How is your boss doing? Hope everything is going on well and good?"

"Yes sir, everything is fine. She just came back from work and asked me to come and take the drugs."

Something is definitely wrong, Mr Richard thought. There is something going on at their house, if not why would Jessie call and beg me to give any of my drugs. She purposely sent him out to take care of something.

Mr Richard goes to his room to get the drugs and hands them to the gatekeeper. He was smart enough to give only multivitamin supplements. "Have this too." He gives him some cash too.

The gate keeper's eyes widens on sight of money, he collects it with a smile. "Thank you so much sir."

"You are welcome."

"I will take my leave now sir." He says and stands.

"Alright, have a nice day."

The gatekeeper left the place and made his way home, not knowing what he was about to face.

Mr Richard felt he should have told the gatekeeper to wait and have something to eat, just to buy his dear daughter some time to finish up with whatever she was doing. But as he didn't, he hoped and prayed for everything to work out fine.

Quickly, Linda had hid her drugs properly and even changed her clothes. She had so many things going and running through her head and mind. She now had blood in her hands, she is now killer. No matter how much her mother had already covered up the scene for her, the fact that she was still the real culprit doesn't go away.

The culprit sat on the bed looking very bad. She took the drugs to make her feel better, but she ended up killing someone.

As the gatekeeper arrives home, the gate was just as he left it. "These people didn't even bother to lock the gate, what if someone enters and steal something? He asks himself as he locks the gate and went inside. Then he saw the maid lying dead on the floor. He screamed for help immediately and as planned Linda and Jessie rushed out acting innocent. "Madam! I think she is dead." The gate keeper says as he tries to touch her.

"No don't touch her." Jessie orders as she moves downstairs, near the deceased. "Oh my God! She is really dead." She weeps covering her mouth with one of her palm.

Her mother's acting skill shocked her to her bones. Linda stood, staring at her mom in disbelief but at the same time weeping too.

"Madam please stop crying." The gatekeeper says trying to confront her.

"Who will clean the house now? Who will look after my dear Linda? Who will run on errands for me?" Jessie asks still weeping.

The gatekeeper looks at Linda and see her crying too. He felt pitiful and thought she shouldn't be seeing this kind of scene. "Linda dear, please stop crying."

Linda wasn't going to do or say anything, but her mother gave her an eye signal, which she understood. If she dares to ignore the signal, her mother will be really mad. "Is she really dead?" Linda asks as she walks downstairs to join her mom and the gatekeeper. "Will she never wake again?"

"This is a very bad scene for you Linda, but she is gone. You would never see her again." Jessie whispers.

"I will really miss her." Linda sobs.

"This won't do." Jessie looks at Raymond the gatekeeper. "Call the police."

Raymond picks his phone as calls the police. "Hello."

"Good evening sir, how can we help you?"

"I am Raymond from Mrs Jessie Paul's house the CEO of Heart Rose hospital."

"Okay, is there any problem?"

"Our maid fell from the stairs and died right in the spot."

"Really? I am so sorry about that. Please can you tell us your address."

Raymond tells them the address and says. "Please, be fast. We are waiting."

"We would be there soon."

Raymond ends the call and looks at his boss. "They would be here soon."

"Okay." Jessie nods.

"Should I call your husband too?"

Raymond asks and Linda grew tensed immediately, even Jessie didn't buy that idea but since the situation has been covered up, there is nothing more to worry about.

"Yes, call him." Jessie answers.

He dials Paul's number and it rang for a while before he picks the call.

"Good evening sir."

"Evening Raymond, how are you doing?"

"Sir, you should come home now. The maid fell from the stairs and died on the spot."

"What?" Paul asks in a very loud voice. "She died just like that?"

"Yes sir."

"Have you called the police?"

"Yes sir, we just did."

"Good." Paul sighs. "Make sure you people don't touch her, don't do anything. I will be right there." He says and hangs up.

Paul drove on a very high speed home, but the police still got there before him. He ran in and saw that the police officers were already taking pictures and questioning his family.

"Welcome sir." They greet on the sight of him.

"Hi." Paul replies bluntly and looks at the deceased, they were already packing her body when he noticed a deep would on her head. "She didn't fall herself, someone pushed her. The wound won't be this deep if she fell herself." Paul whispers beneath his breath to ensure no one was listening.

He looks at the gatekeeper who was answering some questions. "Raymond can't be the one, he has never been upstairs before."He looks at Linda, she was just sitting looking very devastated. "Poor girl, she would be very sad now." Paul concluded that Linda wasn't the culprit as he felt she was too young to do such, he looks at his wife and then locked eyes.

Jessie was looking at him dreadfully, they stared at each other for a long time. "Was it you?" Paul asks himself.
