BARGAIN

Ella's statement sounded more like a threat, Lola dares not do anything stupid. Above all, she values her reputation more than anything else. She wouldn't allow Ella rub her precious reputation that she has been building for a while in the mud.

But she won't let a young girl put so much pressure on her. Come to think of it, Ella and Lola's second child should be of the same age. It was damaging!!!! That such a young girl was capable of saying those threatening words to a grown up woman and manage to make her fidget.

"I am not worthy of my position? What makes you say that?" Lola scoffs. "What exactly do you want to expose.

"I really don't want to tell why you aren't worthy of your position, it might ruin your morale." Ella scoffs too looking at Lola dead in the eyes.

"You young child, you sure have no fear whatsoever."

"My late mom." Ella closes her eyes after the mention of her mom, the continues. "Never raised me to have any fear whatsoever."

"Then what did she raise you to be?"

"A warrior."

Lola, got really scared of Ella now, but didn't show it. "I will ask you again, why do you think I am not worthy of this position."

"You are a shame to woman hood." Ella whispers.

"What did you just say?" Lola asks in annoyance. "You just called me what?"

"Any woman, without self pride and dignity, sleeping around with different men when in a marriage is a total shame and disgrace to womanhood." Ella says again still looking at her dead in the eyes. "Nobody thought you that?"

"Who thought you that?" Lola asks ignoring her question.

"My mother did."

"Your mother did thought you a lot of things, but i am sure she didn't teach you to keep your mouth shut and turn blind eye to certain things." Lola exhales. "Seeing how she thought you so many things above your age, I am forced to say she was a bad mother." Lola was just trying to get on Ella's nerves, to make her spill some beans that she can always use against her.

"But she is better than yours."

"Ella!" Lola calls in annoyance.

"Did your mother teach you not to have any self pride and dignity." Lola tries to slap her but Ella holds her hand. "I don't always look for trouble ma'am, I was about to go to the class when you called me and try to know what doesn't concern you."

She looks at Ella small hands tightly holding her hand, with so much pressure. "Unhand me! You witch!" She cursed.

Ella smiles sand releases her hand. "Please ma'am, don't try to know anything about me. Even if you find out by any chance, keep your mouth shut."

"Is this a threat?"

"No, it's my final warning." Ella says and walks out.

Lola could totally relate to all Ella said, she wished she could just tell her the whole story and seek advice but she can't. Walking back briskly to her office, she shuts the door and leans on it with tears dropping off her eyes.

She wished she never lived the way she did, but what else could she do? With the tears in her eyes she walks to her table and chair then picks up her cell phone. All she wanted to do was call someone and talk to the person and probably cry on the person's shoulders. But there is no one to talk to.

"Ella smith, who in the world are you? Why are you so fearless and hold so much pain in your heart at this young age?" Lola asks herself and something in her head told to check her name on the internet. She follows and mind and types Ella Smith.

The first thing she saw got her amazed, it was an article titled Ella Smith is missing. Quickly she clicks on it to read the full story. The content of the story only said about the death of her parents and grandparents and what they worth. Then later, about the entire properties that was sold by an unknown family member.

"I see" Lola exclaims and smiles, you ran all the way from Nigeria to hide in Burundi, you are hiding from those people who killed your family right? The Diamond necklace is part of your assets." Lola could finally understand what she was trying to hide and why she had such pain in her heart.

With the article she had read, Lola was thinking she knew it all, not knowing there is a story behind everything. "Now let's bargain."

She puts a call to Vivian, and told her to come her office right away, that it was an emergency. Out of fear, Vivian arrived in minutes.

"What happened?" Vivian asks as she enters.

"Have a seat." Lola offers and Vivian sat hurriedly.

"Did anything happen to Ella?" She asks and the principal shakes her head. "So what happened?"

Lola shows Her the article she read and Vivian was shocked, her fear grew. "I know who Ella Smith is."

"So what?" Vivian asks pretending not to be afraid.

"I know her parents were killed by assassins, and I know she is on the run. That is why she is here in Burundi."

"What will you do about it?"

"Nothing." Lola smiles. "I just want to bargain on something."
