MY BROTHER

"What is this?" Lola asks herself in a lot of disbelief and confusion. "She left her? She just left her at her own will? Nothing happened to her she just left?" Lola looks at the envelope laying on the bed, and hurriedly picks it up she takes a short scroll at the content and she realized they were documents all Ella's assets. "Vivian why did you do this? Why?" She asks nobody in particular still looking at the documents but with a lot of tears dripping on the envelope.

What really made her tear up was because Vivian left Ella to stay in this strange country all by herself without any clear reason. After all she is going through and has been through, it's a miracle that all what happened to Ella was loosing her voice temporarily and not loosing her sanity permanently. Lola breaks down, sits on the bed on weeped profusely for a while.

She is a mother too, Ella is just a young girl, how come she is going through this much? Lola thought of it, Ella was just the same age of her second child. She felt really bad for Ella. How has this girl been fighting loneliness and the memories that would keep flashing to her head. After wiping her tears with the back of her palm, Lola heads straight to the first room. It was empty, the wardrobe had nothing in it just a brief case as stated in the note.

Lola carefully opens the briefcase and saw the Burundi currencies, she checks for the inner zip and confirms the master card was there as stated. She blinks quickly. "Thank God this place is a secured estate. We left this amount of money here with the doors opened." She closes the briefcase and moves to Ella's room with the brief case with her, and places the envelope and note inside briefcase.

As small as the briefcase was, it contains a lot of money. Carefully, she placed it in a empty part of Ella wardrobe. She spots a traveling bag too, though it was quite rumpled but still used it in packing Ella's clothes, she picked the clutch bag too as Ella had requested.

She pulled out the handle of the traveling bag and drags it with her, she visits the kitchen and also packed all the perishable things in there. "It's all going to get rotten here, I should drop this at Malik's house and buy some things too. He is a single man, he wouldn't have much at home."

After all the packing was done, she turned of all the electronics and locks the door as Ella instructed. She moved the bag to her car making sure no one was watching her. "It's going to be fine." She says to herself as she sits in the driver's seat and takes a very deep breath.

When she arrived at the hospital, Ella wasn't on the bed, but Malik was there. "Where is she?"

"She went to take her bath." Malik says with a brief smile.

"Okay, when is she going to get discharged?"

"Today"

"Today?" Lola asks repeating his word.

"Yes I have seen the doctor and he said she can go home today, Ella has been complaining that she is not comfortable here."

"Oh I see." Lola murmurs. "I hope you son gets along well with her."

"Of course he would, Ella is a very nice and friendly person." Ella walks in at the moment. "Here she comes."

"Are you okay now? Do you feel better now ?" Lola asks as Ella approach them.

She would have loved to give a reply but she couldn't, so she just gave a nod and a smile. Then rushed over to her jotter and pen and writes. "Can we go now? I don't like this place."

"It looks like all the children hates going to the hospital." Lola says and laughs faintly then faces Malik. "Should we get going now?"

"Yes." Malik nods .

In no time, they went to their cars, Ella drove with Malik while Lola follows them behind with her car. Malik closed his door and was about to start driving when Ella wrote to him to whine down the windows. She says she prefers the fresh air to the air conditioner.

He didn't drive up to a minute that she had Already fell deep asleep, thank goodness she was at the back seat, it was convenient a bit for her over there. There Malik envies her beauty sleep.

The moment he stopped driving, she opened her eyes and steps out, itching her eyes and stretches a little.

"Welcome to my humble abode." Malik says to them.

"Humble? You call this humble?" Lola asks.

His house was way more better than what she was expecting. As a a matter of fact it was not just a house but a mansion. No one would have ever though that Malik would own that kind of building. He always appears simple and so humble. Well, humility is the key as they say.

Even Ella opened her mouth in amazement, she adores and admired the building so much because it was really beautiful. As they stood in the compound looking at the building, a very young and handsome boy of Ella's age steps out.

"This is my son, Shamim." Malik says and faces Ella. "This is your brother."

That statement got them confused. Even Lola was, why did Malik call him Ella's brother? Was he trying to create a very strong bond already?it wasn't really clear.

"Hello." Shamim greets shyly.

"Hi dear." Lola replies with a smile.

Ella couldn't speak so she just waved with a smile and he waves back.

Shamim moves closer to his father. "What did you say earlier?"

"This young girl right here is your sister, treat her with love and care."

"Really?" Shamim asks with a lot of excitement.

"Yes." Malik nods. "But she was involved in an accident recently, thus she lost her voice temporarily. Make sure you always make her happy and do not force her to talk."

"Alright." Shamim nods happily and holds Ella's hand. "My name is shamim."

She wasn't with her jotter and pen at the moment so she looks at Malik to help her out.

"Her name is Ella." Malik says. "For the main time, she would be communicating to you through a pen and jotter, just make sure it is always with her."

"Okay daddy." He nods happily. "Let me show you around the house, we would decorate your room together tomorrow."

Shamim and Ella enters the building and they were both enjoying the conversation. Shamim had immediately accepted her as his sister.
