NEW MAID

If everyone were to turn their backs on her, she never prays for her kids to ever turn their backs on her. That might be her end, at the same time she wants to pursue her political ambition and attain that position by all means. She just has to do it, to somehow show her father that she can be successful without him.

That is the main reason she keeps on persisting on the political ambition, to show her irresponsible father how successful she can be without him being in her life.

Lola did not want her husband to take advantage of her, and at the same time she doesn't want to loose that spot. So she had to come to a conclusion, leave her husband and fight it at once or stay with him in the jungle he calls home and continue to live in sadness and frustration.

Her phone rings again and she almost curse before checking to see who it was. It happens to be her boyfriend again. "What does this idiot want again? What is he calling me?" She asks herself before answering the call. "Yes?" She asks loudly as soon as she answers the call.

"Calm down please." The caller tries to pacify.

"Why are you calling me again? To threaten me? I already told you to do whatever you want to do and leave me alone." She says in a cool but stressed tone.

"I am sorry I threatened you earlier, I am so sorry but please I need this money to pay my mom's medical bills." The caller sobs.

"What?" Lola asks confused. "Your mom's medical bills?"

"Yes, I do all these things with older women because I have to survive, take care of my mom and siblings."

"Are you for real?"

"Yes, as we speak she is in the hospital because she got into an accident days ago, and we need her to undergo surgery." The caller laments.

"How am I supposed to believe you?" Lola asks again.

"I know it's hard for you to believe but that is just the honest truth. I am so sorry for the threat ma."

All of a sudden, the caller is trying to be reasonable and considerate so she decides to end it all for once and for all. "Look, it's high time we put an end to this silly thing we are doing. Stop calling my phone and I won't call you too."

"It's fine ma, take care of yourself." The caller says and ends the call.

Finally! She has managed to get rid of one of them, maybe she should just use the opportunity to get rid of the rest of them too. But she isn't going to call or text them, Lola plans to just stop talking to them and avoid them totally and stop picking their calls. Once she is totally free from those boys and finds out how to get the money to finance her political movement, leaving her husband for good won't be a problem.

Lola and her husband acted like strangers to each other all through the night and the next morning, they avoided each other and Lola made sure she didn't cook for him to eat. They went to bed without food. All Judin could do was rant with anger.

The next morning came and Lola is already dressed as early as 7am. She was purposely doing everything so loud, so that she can disturb Judin's peaceful sleep and annoy him. Her plans were successful anyways, Judin got disturbed and is now awake.

"Where are you going to this early morning?" Judin asks.

"I have an appointment this morning." She replies as she is busy deciding which bag and shoe to put on.

"With who?" He asks again.

"Stop acting like you care about anything I do, just leave me alone please."

"Okay, if you insist on not telling me." Judin clears his throat. "What about what we discussed last evening? What decision have you come to?"

"I am yet to come to a decision." Lola whispers still trying to choose the bag and shoes to use.

"Really? You have changed a lot these days Lola." Judin stands and walks close to her embracing her from behind and whispers gently to her ear in a tickling manner. "But you are still the naive girl I met years ago, seeking peace of mind and happiness you can never find."

She could have flared up and hurl insults at him but she chooses to stay calm and not retaliate. "When the time comes, I will find that happiness and peace of mind that I seek, hopefully."

Judin releases her and goes back to the bed, sitting at the edge of the bed. "I think you should call for a new maid today."

"Of which age range do you need?" Lola asks.

"Do I need or do we need?" He asks in return.

"Of which age range do you think we need?" She asks as she puts on a pair of blue shoes and picks a blue to match it.

"You are acting strange this morning. Why are you acting so calm and cool like you are fine." Judin says with a sign of mockery.

Lola looks at him and smiles. "Don't you think that this this calm and cool attitude fits me more?"

Judin observed her closely. "Just make sure you are careful. That is all I have to say." He laid in the bed and says again. "Don't forget to call in for a new maid."

Lola picks up her cell phone and dials a number, it rings for a while before the call is answered. "Good morning ma, this is Lola. It was fine thank you ma. I need a maid urgently ma, she should be in her early twenties. Alright you have my house address right? Just send her here. Thank you very much, talk to you later."

Lola drops the call and walks out of the building, informing the gate keeper of who is coming and drives off to Malik's house.
