JESSICA IS AT IT

Asma is still very scared of what happened to her earlier, she tries to think if she had offended someone by chance. "Even though I have offended someone, is it that bad that she really plans on taking my life?" She asks herself then picks up her cell phone and send a text to Darifa. "Hello, what's up?" She holds her phone and hopes to get replies soon. "What have I done?" She asks herself again and after some minutes of waiting, she receives a message on her phone. She quickly checks it and it happens to be Darifa who replied her.

"I am good, how are you doing?" Darifa replies.

Asma takes a deep breath and starts typing. "Something really terrible happened, I don't even know where to start from." She sends the message and waits for a reply.

Immediately, Darifa replies saying "Tell me everything that happened." Already, she is thinking if what happened to her friend Asma is related to the call she got a night ago.

"I got a strange message last night and someone was following me, she is a lady. At a point, I saw her with a knife. Obviously, she had the intention of killing me." Amsa replies pouring out her fear.

Instead of texting her a reply, Darifa calls her friend. "Jessica is at it!" She whispers to her self.

Asma quickly answers her phone and whispers to her friend almost sobbing. "Hello."

"Asma, where are you right now?"

"I am at work." She answers and sniffs.

"Now tell me in details without leaving anything out, what exactly happened?" Darifa asks whispering her words sternly.

"It all started yesterday, when I got a message from a private number-"

"A private number?" Darifa asks raising the tone of her voice.

"Yes, and the person mentioned me being a victim of bully."

"God damn it!" She curses beneath her breath. "I know this is all Jessica's doing." She murmurs to herself. "So, what happened today?"

"When I was waiting for a cab this morning, I spotted a lady who was standing opposite me."

"Did you see her face?" Darifa asks again.

"No I didn't." Asma replies with a sigh. "She wore a big polo, face cap, pair of trousers and sneakers. Her face was hidden under the face cap, but I had that feeling that she was looking at me."

"So what happened next?"

"I finally got cab, and I talked to the cab man for some seconds, I was about to go in the car when I just decided to check for her and she was gone with no trail."

"You mean after some seconds, she disappeared?" Darifa asks paying utmost attention to her friend.

"Yes, the moment I got to work and alighted from the cab, I saw the same lady standing right in front of the entrance." Asma narrated with a bit of fear.

"You mean you saw that same lady again? That means she already knows where you work, and the moment you were talking to the cab man she already took off to your place of work." Darifa replies already making her speculations.

"I didn't even think much of it, I just concluded it being a coincidence, but when I went out to have lunch today, I had already made my orders and started eating, then she walks in briskly and sat behind me not doing anything, she just folds her arm and watched me eat."

"So what did you do? Did you try calling the attention of anyone?"

"No I didn't, instead I tried to eat a little of my food and foot my bills. As I walked out of the restaurant, she followed me. I even increased my speed in walking, so did she too. It got eally tensed that I had to start taking some unknown routes and she still followed. Unknowingly, and out of fear, I started running and she ran after me again. The race lasted a while and it stopped when I found myself in a crowded place. She stood few paces away from me and I spotted the small knife she was holding."

Darifa listened carefully to the story not interrupting anymore or asking any questions. When she realizes her friend stopped talking, she asks, "where are you now?"

"Where else do you think I will be?" Asma replies with a question too.

"Stay there, don't even think of going anywhere. I will be there soon." Darifa says and hangs up. "Jessica is truly back for good." She murmurs to herself.
