ASMA IS NOW SINGLE

Lola's excitement over the trio's sleepover is so amazing. She prepared pasta for everyone to eat. "It feels so good to have you all here, it's been a while you all slept here." She stops and continues. "Years actually."

"Then I guess we should all come here for a sleepover more often." Abdullah says with a smile.

"I will be so happy to have you all here, I won't even get tired of cooking for you all." She replies.

"I still don't know why you all are sleeping here tonight again." Shamim nags.

"Really?" Ella asks chewing some pasta. "Did you just say again? The last time they all slept here was years ago."

"The memory was a very terrible one, I had to share my bed." He looks at Abdullah. "I don't like it when someone else is occupying my space with me."

"You are just so unbelievable Shamim, don't tell me you still have that mindset after all these years." Asma teases.

"Well, as you can see, I still do have that mindset."

"You need to give it up then, why will you hate it when people share your bed with you?" Malik chips in.

"The only reason he feels like that is because they are both men." Darifa says slurping down her pasta.

"I guess so." Lola says with a lot of chuckles.

"I thank God Kylie and Kim aren't downstairs." Shamim whispers.

"By the way, how is Cassandra?" Asma asks as she is still enjoying her meal.

"She is fine." He replies bluntly and adds. "I guess."

"You guess?" Asma asks again

"Yes." He nods already feeling and sounding sad.

"Is everything okay?" Darifa asks showing utmost concern.

"I ended things with her already." Shamim replies again.

Asma almost choke on water but coughs it out and immediately she feels better, she asks. "Are you being serious now?"

"Of course I am, what would I gain from lying?" He asks too.

"I am so sure something fell out at some point, didn't it?" Asma asks again.

"Alright." Malik says and stands then faces his wife. "Sweetheart, I think we are too old fashioned to listen to their conversation, aren't we?"

"I already find their talk boring too." She stands and picks up their plates of food. "Let's eat upstairs."

"That's way better." They both walk upstairs.

"I really love the kind of relationship between your parents, it's so real and pure. I always pray to find someone that will love and take care of me just like your father loves your mom." Asma whispers fantasizing love in her head as she watches Lola and Malik walk upstairs but the funny look Ella and Shamim had on their face distracted her from her love fantasy. "What with the look?" She asks shrugging her shoulders.

"Have you see them when they are having issues?" Ella asks raising her brows.

"No." Asma answers shaking her head innocently.

Shamim giggles "I thought as much."

"There is nothing in this life without its bad side, the only thing that can help is if the good side out shadows the bad side." Asma whispers. "Looking at your parents, it is obvious their good side out shadows the bad side."

"Is there something you want to talk about?" Darifa asks ignoring her friend's short pep talk.

"No I don't, I am fine." Asma whispers suspiciously and forces a spoon full of pasta into her mouth.

Her friends have been with her for a good ten years and they know when some thing is bothering her or not. Anytime she starts making references to things and giving short talks, then something is definitely wrong with her.

"Asma?" Ella calls with her left brow up and staring straight into her eyes.

"Even I know something is bothering you Asma." Shamim adds focusing on her.

"Actually." Asma exhales deeply. "I broke up with him already?"

"What?" The friends chorus with their eyes wide open.

"Yes." She nods sadly almost crying.

"After all you invested in that relationship?" Shamim asks annoyingly.

"After three years?" Abdullah asks in rage too.

"He was cheating on me with a colleague of mine at work." Asma whispers and tears drop off her eyes.

"He did what?" Ella asks at the top of her voice.

Darifa bits her lower lip in anger mixed with frustration. "I have always warned you concerning that boy, but you wouldn't listen."

"I thought he really loved me, I was totally blinded by love."

"You shouldn't let that happen, don't ever allow your emotions overrule you for any reason." Abdullah whispers solemnly trying to hide the fact that he is really pissed.

"Same thing happened to me and Cassandra. Though, my family complained of her her being very ratchet, and I felt like they were being very mean and just unfair on her. But I took my time and thought about it well, she never even loved me from the onset, she was probably just using me to make herself feel better." Shamim narrates.

"It wasn't easy for me to just imagine him being out of my life."she says sobbing.

"But at least, he is gone now, isn't he?" Abdullah asks.

"Definitely! He has to leave forever!" Ella says fire up and faces Asma. "Look at me baby girl, you are beautiful, you are unique, you are wonderful, you are special, the right person will come and stay without stress."

"Thanks a lot." Asma says and forces out a smile. "So, how did things go between you too that night?" She asks sounding sneaky.

"Do you guys really want to talk about that now?" Ella asks shyly with smiles.

"Of course we do!" Shamim adds.

"It went well actually." Abdullah replies sweetly.

"You don't mean it!!!" Darifa exclaims loudly.

"No, I am done." Ella picks up her plate of food and walks away shyly.

" I must say you did shoot your shot well Abdullah." Shamim teases.

"I totally agree with that, no one would have believed it is going to be as smooth as that." Says Asma.

Later at night, Ella shared her room with her boyfriend while Asma and Darifa make use of the guest room. Before going to bed, Miss Smith wrote the summary of what happened that day with a date up on it in her diary.
