INSECURE

"So what are we still doing here then?" asks Darifa to no one in particular in the sitting room. "Let's go to the mall to find her already."

"I think that is what we should do." Shamim concurs. "Or is there anyone who doesn't agree with he movement?" He asks and looks round the room but fix his gaze more on Asma who is sitting on the couch, some paces away from them as they sit round the dining table.

Darifa hisses annoyingly and taps Shamin, giving him some eye signal telling him to let Asma be. "I wonder why she is still here in the first place when she knows she won't take part in everything that's us going on in the house." she says loudly for Asma to hear.

"Don't start that now please, we have more pressing matters at hand." Abdullah cautions.

"Sweetheart, what are your plans now? How do we find our daughter?" Lola asks with her eyes swollen.

"I will go there alone to look for her." Malik whispers, trying to ensure Asma can't hear whatever he is saying because she is the suspect for now.

"Why is that?" Lola asks again.

Malik brings out his phone and types on it. "I smell something fishy, so I will ask some of my underlings to guide the house properly, I will contact the girls school to also tighten their security, while I go to look for Ella with a few of my underlings too."

Abdullah nods his head gently as he can understand what Malik is trying to do. "Come to think of it." He whispers. "Did you say they caught footages of her in an abandoned mall?"

"Yes." Malik nods.

"But are there supposed to be cameras in an abandoned mall?" Lola asks. "I mean it's of what use?"

"I never thought of that." Malik quickly calls his underling who called him earlier. "Hello Eric, how did you get the footage of my daughter in the abandoned mall?"

"Sir, it was sent to us by an unknown identity." He whispers.

Malik bangs the dining table in rage then cautions himself and whispers. "Why didn't you tell me this before?"

"I am sorry sir, the footage was reported to me too and the reporter didn't tell me it was sent to us." Eric pleads.

"Alright, keep searching for information and clues. I will get back to you." He ends the call and drops the phone carelessly.

"Is everything okay?" Darifa asks.

"Jessica is at it again!" Malik whispers as he buries his face in his palms.

"Jessica, how?" Lola asks.

"Ella went out through the garden gate." He replies whispering. "The footage that we claimed to have was sent to them by an unknown identity."

"Oh my God!" Lola excalims covering her mouth with both hands.

"That means, someone purposely made video of her as she was about to enter the mall and sent it to them, because they knew it was going to get to you." says Darifa trying to put two plus two together.

"Another thing is, they were sure that I was going to come for her." Malik adds.

"It's a trap!" Abdullah and Shamim chorus loudly and it got the attention of Asma because she looks towards their direction immediately.

"Hmm hmm." Darifa cleaes her throat to caution the boys. "Bring it down." she whispers.

"What are we going to do now?" Lola asks whispering.

"I have no choice than to go and find her, but didn't worry I will do that alone because we aren't sure if what Jessica plans to do." Malik whispers too.

"Do you think it will be safe for you to that alone?" Lola asks whispering again.

"At least it's better than all of us going there to face the unknown." Malik says and shrugs his shoulders. He looks at Asma for a while and calla at her. "Asma!"

Asma turns her head to the direction where the sound of her name came from. "Sir?" she asks politely.

"Come here!" He orders.

Asma stands and walks close to him. "Is everything okay sir?"

"I am not satisfied with the way things are going with you and your friends." He pauses and continues. "Would you mind telling me what really happened?"

"I just feel insecure." Asma whispers with her voice trembling as if she is about to cry. "I am not happy living in hiding. I feel very terrible living like this."

"Insecure about what?" Malik asks again.

"About everything, I don't feel safe anymore, maybe because I was a victim of bully back when I was in school." She whispers and tears drops off her eyes.

Now, everyone is starting to change their minds on what they had thought of her in the last few days.

Darifa isn't believing her actions one hundred percent but at least she still feels a bit sorry for calling her names and publicly attacking her.
