AZARA

"My brother already found the man." He pauses and shook his head. "What did you call him the other time?" Abdullah asks as he helps himself with a bottle of wine.

Ella smiles and answers. "Just call him pappy yo."

"That is way better." Abdullah adds sounding relieved.

"So which way to go now? Nigeria or go back to Burundi?" asks Asma as she sits beside Darifa.

"Nigeria is war for me, but Burundi is my comfort zone and peace land." Miss Smith exhales deeply. "If Paul had killed my parents, then I would have preferred to return home, but for the fact that Jessie is involved, I am pretty sure there is more to it."

"You haven't answered my question yet, Nigeria or Burundi?" Asma asks again.

"Nigeria." Ella says sternly and smiles. "I am sure there is more to my family's death."

"What is the old man up to?" Darifa asks facing Abdullah.

"Presently, he isn't doing anything, just enjoying his old age I guess."

"Why do you think he would have the answers to all our questions?" Darifa asks Ella.

"There are two things involved, it is either Jessie killed my family because of greed or she did it because of something else that we all don't know."

"That you suggest she might be involved with your father?" Shamim asks.

"Of course." Miss Smith nods her head gently. "If truly, Jessie had something to do with my father, then that man must know everything, he was my father's driver and closest pal to some extent."

"What if Jessie was not directly involved with your father?" Abdullah asks whispering.

"Then, she has to tell me what my family did to deserve such death."

"Don't you think we should include Vivian?" Darifa asks out if the blue.

"I will forgive everything on earth." Ella looks straight in the team leader's eyes. "But not betrayals and backstabs."

Darifa keeps quiet for a while and looks deep into Ella's eyes. "You are turning into something else."

"I am beginning to get scared of that too."'Shamim adds. "The change is just too massive."

"Team leader, we need to come up with a pl-" The soft knock on the door stops Ella.

"Who is that?!" Darifa asks loudly.

"It is I, Linda, may I come in?" She asks from outside.

"What is she doing here?" Asma asks whispering almost in fear.

"I have no idea too." Darifa whispers back.

"Do we let her in?" Abdullah asks too.

"Let her in." Ella tells her friends.

"Are you sure about this?" Abdullah asks again.

"We have to do it, to avoid suspicions." Miss Smith quickly removes her necklace and keeps it her pocket.

"Hi Linda!" Darifa says loudly and heads to the door. "How are you doing?" She asks again as she opens the door.

"I am doing well, thank you. I hope I am not disturbing you?" She asks.

"No." Darifa shakes her head forcing a lot of smiles out her lips. "Would you like to come in?" She offers.

Linda nods her head and the door opens widely for her to walk in. As she enters the apartment, she sees everyone seated on the couch and looking at her except the lady that she has stared at so bad in the restaurant earlier. "Hello." She whispers with a wave to everyone.

"Welcome." Asma greets with a obvious fake smile.

"Please, have a seat." Abdullah offers stretching forth his hand to the open space close to Darifa.

"Thank you." Linda accepts the offer and sighs deeply before she starts talking. "I want to sincerely apologize for what happened at the restaurant downstairs." She says facing Ella who kept a straight face all along.

Miss Smith looks at she and smirks. "It's fine."

"I didn't get to know your name the other day." Linda says to Darifa trying to bring up a conversation.

"My name is Darifa."

"Which country are you from?" Linda asks.

"I am from Burundi."

"What is your name ma'am?" Linda asks switching to Ella immediately and it didn't sit well with the rest of her team mates, as they all showed discomfort.

Ella smiles and raises her brows. "My name is Azara."

Everyone in the room, exchange short glances at themselves. No one has ever expected her to mention that name. But Linda was happy that she wasn't Ella.
