CARD PLAYED

Linda ignores the first message beeb on her phone, but the second to the seventh? She just couldn't help it but pick up her phone to check who was bombarding her with series of messages. "What the hell is this?" She asks as she sees different tags on her social media platforms and insultive direct messages. "What is going on? Why am I getting these amount of tags and direct messages?" She clicks open to see the post that people are tagging are on.

Her eyes open wide in extreme shock. "What is this? Bully? Who is the blogger of an animal that dares to dig into my past?" She asks herself again and checks people's comments, some of her ex school mates were testifying to it that she was indeed a bully, some people cursed her out bitterly. "This is so pathetic." She inhales sharply.

"What is wrong with you? Why do you look this down?" Paul asks his daughter and joins her on the couch.

"Someone dug into my past life and already showed the world that I was a bully." She whispers still staring at the post.

"Who did that?" He asks again.

"A social media blogger." She pauses and continues. "Oh! There is even a voice record." She clicks on the record to listen and carefully heard all Asma had told the blogger, but has no idea who the speaker was.

"Whoever did this must have been very determined." Paul whispers. "Once people are already interested in you, it would be very difficult to fight things off. I think you should ask your mom for help."

"I seriously hate this!" She yells loudly. "I won't forgive this blogger for what he did, I promise I won't."

"Now is not the time to get mad or pissed, call your mom to get you out of this mess."

Linda dials her mom's number, it rings for a while but she didn't answer the call. "She isn't responding" She whispers.

"Call her again, she might not be with her phone." Paul whispers and his daughter obeys, but all no to avail. "She will call you back as soon as she sees your call."

"Father, I think we need to go back home. I don't think I can solve this while I am here."

************

"The social media is on fire." Shamim whispers.

"What is going on over there?" Ella asks writing the summary of what happened the whole day in her diary.

"About fifteen people have testified to it that she was indeed a bully while she was in secondary school, while some people are cursing her out."

"So now, we have successfully diverted a lot of attention and eyes to them?" Ella asks again.

"Of course!" Asma exclaims silently with a lot of smiles. "From the look of things, people will start looking into her personal life."

"Her life is going to be a living hell now, she won't be free anymore." Darifa adds.

"I am sure she will be leaving for Nigeria tomorrow, thus, we can enter the country freely too without getting any attentions, since everyone will be focused on Linda's predicament.

"So what is the first thing we are doing in Nigeria tomorrow?" asks Abdullah.

Ella closes her diary and it makes a loud noise sort of. "We need to meet Pappy yo first."

"I hope we can successfully get what we want to hear from his mouth and do all we want to do as soon as possible." Darifa hopes.

"Whether we get words from his mouth or not, I will let everyone be aware of my presence , that I am not dead and reclaim my father's hospital."

"Are you crazy? What do you mean by that?" Abdullah asks.

"You should be living in hiding for now, doing all those things will do us no good than putting us in deep trouble." Shamim nags.

"That is the only way I can survive in that country." Ella whispers.

"How is that the only way you can survive?" Abdullah asks again.

"Once I let the world know that I am alive, no one would dare touch me." She looks at Abdullah. "At least in the mean time. Think about it, will Jessie really want to kill me that early? Everyone will be really curious, some will investigate and that might be the end for her."

"But still, it's too risky." Darifa whispers.

"Team leader." Ella calls calmly. "The riskiest thing on earth is not taking any risks."
