CHAPTER FIVE: Living Home

Michelle POV

Hey diary,

Today is here, the day I and my family leave the countryside and I find it hard to leave my room, I think it's because if I go down I might meet my best friends crying. Yesterday, Terence and Elisa secretly cried while I was packing up my bags. Now I'm staring at my bag that I have packed, it makes me wonder if I would find the happiness I've found here over there. If I continue I might start to cry again, I've cried enough. This will be the last time we will ever love in the country side ensure to say goodbyes.

There was a knock on my door, I opened it, it happens to be Terence, I'm w bit surprised he came to my room alone.

'Hey, your dad is moving the bags into the truck' Terence said

'Ok, I will bring it down' I said going towards my bed to pick up my bags, a hand reached for it before I could, it was Terence. At that moment when I looked into his blue eyes it was like time stopped for us, we inched closer to each other until there was no space between us, he leaned in an his lips touched mine, I was taken by surprise but I closed my eyes to enjoy the moment.

He broke the kiss and silently took my bag and headed down stairs. Immediately he left, I hopped on my bed and started jumping than I rolled over happily, recalling the kiss any moment I touched my lips.

'Chelly, it's time to go' Ryan shouted from downstairs. I came downstairs seeing happy faces that has sadness behind it as I reached the door I and my gang had a group hug and I whispered into his ear;

'I like you'

Then turned to leave before Elisa stopped me and me a hug. I let the tears fall because I knew it would take a really long time to see her again.

My parents, Ryan and I are on our way to San Antonio with my dad driving through we've the countryside and still got lot of miles to cover. I slipped my finger into my jeans pocket and brought out a crumbled paper that Elisa had slipped on into my jeans when we had a final hug. Ryan sighted the paper and snatched it wanting to see what is written in it, does he not know privacy? I tried to reach it and couldn't. We later concluded on reading it together, It wrote:

Dear Chelly,

I tried to come up with a better way to say goodbye but couldn't find anything fancier than writing w letter. You leaving Robbinwood neighborhood is the greatest daydream that we've never expected to happen. I'm writing this letter in tears, it wouldn't stop dropping on the paper. I wonder how Terence is going to endure waiting for you, do you know he likes you? He told me during summer camp and he didn't plan on confessing until he was in highschool.

Since it didn't go as planned, he would have confessed by the time you are reading this letter. I hope you like him, he's a caring guy. I'm happy for you that you would have the privilege to meet rich folks and live classic, don't forget to call, text or even better write and email. Bye till me meet again.

                         Best friends forever

                                  Elisa

'You got friends and even a crush, they'll really miss you' Ryan said in whispers that only me and him could hear as he finished reading the letter. Tears couldn't stop falling from my eyes, Ryan put his arm over my shoulder and patted me. Dad turned on the radio and it was playing "You are not alone" by Michael Jackson. I laid on Ryan's lap and slept off.

I was woken up by drops of pineapple juice that was dropping into my mouth, I opened my eyes and saw Ryan holding a straw over my mouth and furrow my eyebrows and he started laughing.

Now we are in San Antonio, there were lights everywhere I think it was due to the night but the lights still beautified the night which made it different from the countryside. In no time we were at the front of our new home, we took our luggages from  the truck and went into the elevator, it's my first time being on one. It was fascinating the way it felt under my feet moving up without stressing any part of your body.

Don't blame me, I from the country.

We stopped on the 8th floor, there were two doors facing each other, one was 31 the other was 32, our apartment was 32, unlike the country, moving my in was easy because everything were already set in place what was missing were our luggages, we were tried so we all went to bed.
