Imagination

It was afternoon, and after a rather heavy lunch, Qin Mu was boredly looking through the notice page of Star dream's official website to kill time. This page would post notices about all works their artists participated in recently.

And depending on the popularity and the ratings for the work, the time it got to stay on this page would be decided. Need he say that it had always been Luo Cheng's work that always managed to stay the longest amongst everyone else's?

After filming ended three days ago, they finally came back home to the capital and got the much-awaited rest period. Qin Mu was now at Luo Cheng's company residence and just finished organizing the other's luggage before lunch. As for the owner of the house, he had disappeared somewhere after eating his fill, leaving him to tie the loose ends.

But, he didn't feel angry with this action of slipping away– not at all! After all, Qin Mu had done this and that for this guy over quite a number of years, so who knew better than him about this lazy temperament?

What's more– his promised holiday would also start in three days!! Hehe… Qin Mu was determined to enjoy himself on one of the Mediterranean islands, bathe in the Aegean sea, and stuff himself full of delicious Mediterranean cuisines. Maybe... he'd even be able to kiss goodbye to his miserable state of being a bachelor? ≥∇≤

Unconsciously smacking his lips, he absentmindedly scrolled down a bit more when a notice that seemed only five days old but was pushed quite far down caught his eyes. Hmmmmmmmmmm?

"Isn't this…" Qin Mu muttered to himself and before he knew it, he was already searching for the drama mentioned in the notice and settling down to take a good look.

No matter what misunderstanding he himself initially had about this person, wasn't she someone who ended up causing their ah'Cheng to be shocked? Watch– he must definitely watch this!

The drama itself was nothing special– the story was boring and looked stupid, but after watching the first three episodes, Qin Mu suddenly felt that it was a bit… cute? Ei!!? Nononono– he must have thought wrong!

A-anyway… let's just get a VIP membership at this Mango platform. He- he was kind of bored with always watching those classic and meaningful films. So, watching this type of silly drama once in a while is also not bad.

By the way, why was this person from their company with nearly two years of acting experience cast in a side character role!? In this type of drama no less! But, but… he gotta admit that she really looked absolutely adorable and beautiful in this clip. Aaai!! Just look at that pout! Isn't that a killer move? ^.^

"What are you doing?"

"Aaaah!!!" The sudden voice that spoke from behind was so startling that Qin Mu ended up not only screaming like a girl but accidentally throwing his phone away in shock. He stared with his heart in his throat as it made a beautiful arc in the air before somehow accurately and safely landing on the nearby sofa.

But before he could heave a sigh of relief, a spoiled and aggrieved shout of a young girl suddenly reverberated in the air.

"Bother Siming– you like that woman? What's so good about her!? She's some poor and vulgar person!" And then in a lowered voice that was filled with no fewer grievances, "What about me?"

Qin Mu: "..."

Luo Cheng: "..."

The atmosphere slowly turned incredibly awkward as the two grown men stared at each other while the spoiled complaints from a young girl echoed in the background. Qin Mu thought he might as well go and find a hole to bury himself at this point, as he saw the increasingly blank look on his boss' face. T▽T

No– it wasn't that he was embarrassed just because he was caught red-handed watching this level of low-quality stuff by his artist. Knowing Luo Cheng, he was not the type to be too bothered by the aesthetic senses of his employees. Everything was good as long as they did their job well.

No, it was because he was embarrassed about being caught watching this woman's videos. After all, imagine what would happen when you had this huge misunderstanding about an acquaintance, only to realize that this said person didn't have even the slightest of that type of intention whatsoever?

And, just when you thought you buried your shame, what if this acquaintance found you consorting with the cause of this misunderstanding? How embarrassing would that be? Especially if the said acquaintance is your boss!?

Actually, Qin Mu felt that he couldn't entirely be blamed for this matter either. After all, his boss had also acted pretty suspicious around this woman and seemed unnaturally fixated on her. How was he to know that it was a case of hurt pride and not due to infatuation?

'...'

In his elation and glee, he had even forgotten that this little devil, Luo Cheng, was by no means the type of person to be infatuated. Others might get enamored with this guy– but when had it even happened the other way around?

Unfortunately, Qin Mu had gone ahead with his conjecture about his boss' presumed infatuation and went on painting a rosy picture full of hearts and love and scandal and unrequited affection on his artist's part. He had to admit that he had felt a good deal of schadenfreude, imagining the future sufferings of this rascal in the face of love.

And if you asked Qin Mu if he wasn't embarrassed imagining stuff like this– after all, he was a grown man, right? What was he imagining roses and hearts and all that pink bubble for? Did he have a piece of girlish heart or something?

But, Qin Mu would assure you that it was not the case. What? A man can't have a bit of a girly soul hidden in a corner of his heart? Don't be so prejudiced ah! He was only indulging his imagination at the expense of his emotionally malnourished boss. Hehe…

But, it had only taken one question from old Guo, that damned bodyguard to shatter all his fantasies into smithereens, never to see the light of the day again.

It was at that time when they met Feng Xi and her cohort at that Italian restaurant owned by Luo Cheng's old acquaintance located in the F district. After coming out, just when they were getting ready to depart, old Guo had asked only one question. "That lady– doesn't she look like the crazy girl we ran into in Y hospital?"

Remembering the way he acted before, snickering and smiling suggestively whenever he saw his own artist in the presence of that woman, Qin Mu covered his face in shame. 'Too embarrassing ah! It's too embarrassing!' _(:϶ ⦣ ∠)_

Did this guy Luo Cheng think that he looked like an idiot as he pranced in front of him, imagining all sorts of far-fetched scenarios? After all, there was no way the other didn't understand what he was fantasizing about. He was too smart to not realize something like that!

No– he really must have looked like an idiot in the eyes of this guy ah! But the most painful thing about this whole farce was that his painstakingly cultivated image as a capable assistant to a top-level actor all went down the drain with this ah!

Qin Mu surreptitiously glanced at the still playing video after seeing that Luo Cheng's attention was now fixed on it. More importantly, what was he going to do about this? Can he get away with it by saying it was just an accident? :ℨ

A/N:

Heya folks,

Hope ya all doing fine. So, after some thinking, I decided to lock the chapters of this book starting from chapter 62 onwards. Just like I promised, around 60-something chapters. The actual locking would probably need some time to take effect. ⁰𝛚⁰

For the time being, I'll continue uploading new information I find about these premium chapters under the additional chapter 'About the contract and paying options' in the auxiliary volume section.

Have a fun read!
