Magic Pharmacy Guild

Arthur takes a bath before proceeding to his plan today. In order to finish the mission that the System has given him, he needs to go to the Magic Pharmacy Guild. This guild is the one that oversees the improvement of magicians in magic pharmacy and they are the ones that also give the badge for proof that they are indeed magic pharmacist.

There are also rankings within the guild from one-star Magic Pharmacist up to six-star Magic Pharmacist. However, some people argue that there are ranks way past the six-star. There are a a few six-star Magic Pharmacists including two sages with names Lady Dindrane and Lord Gareth.

Lord Gareth is the overseer of the main branch of the Magic Pharmacy Guild. There are guild branches near the Magic Towers. This is the reason why kingdoms want one of their cities to host a Magic Tower as this boosts their economy and most magicians have a lot of money that they spend.

Arthur has finished wearing his clothes. He has a blue outer robe on top of a white inner robe. It looks simple for Arthur but it looks elegant because of his handsome appearance. His appearance right now is, after all, a twenty one year old young man.

He walks around and asks where the guild can be found. After a few minutes of walking and asking, Arthur sees a four story build with an overbearing name 'Magic Pharmacy Guild' and there are a few people coming in and out. They are either magicians or nobles.

Arthur pushes the door open and what greets him is a really luxurious place. There are also scent of burnt herbs and also sweet scent of successful pills. The scent is addictive for Arthur as he proceeds to the table where a receptionist is located. This time, the workers here aren't as numerous compared to the Magic Tower.

"Good afternoon, Sir. What can I do for you?" The female receptionist puts on a smile and she is polite as she speaks.

"I want to be a Magic Pharmacist." Arthur scratches his head as he replies honestly.

The female receptionist giggles before she looks at Arthur. "Are you new here sir? Can you show me your magic badge?"

The reason the female receptionist knows that Arthur is new is because of what he has said. Being a Magic Pharmacist is divided into ranks and the words he used give a hint that he doesn't know how this works.

When she looks at the details of Arthur through a magic screen, she is shocked to discover that he is already in the first stage of Full-Fledged. No one knows how but her words have become more polite than the first one. "Lord Pendragon, your details show that you have yet to pass being an apprentice in the guild. Do you wish to take the exam?"

"Yeah. It is my first time here. How do I become a Magic Pharmacist?" Arthur scratches his head while smiling.

The receptionist finds his action very adorable. "Lord Pendragon, you have to pass the apprentice examination before you get a badge as an apprentice. If you are already an apprentice and has learned how to concoct a one-star magic pill, you will pass and become a one-star Magic Pharmacist."

Arthur nods and thanks her for the explanation. This is a main mission, after all. It will probably take him a few days or even a month to complete. "When can I take the examination?"

"You can take it anytime when you are ready." The receptionist replies.

"Can I take it now?" Arthur asks curiously.

"Of course. However, if you fail, you will need a week to retake it again." The receptionist politely warns him.

Arthur falls into a deep thought before realizing that it is not that bad to wait for a week if he fails. After all, he knows that this mission is not easy to complete. Even the city wall has taken him more than a month to complete.

"I will take it now." After hearing this, the receptionist presses a certain button and a person comes out to approach Arthur.

"Please follow me." The young woman says and Arthur proceeds to follow him.

Arthur enters a well-lit room and there are a lot of tables. He sees a few people answering a test paper. It seems like this is an exam to answer basic questions about magic pharmacy. He is also amazed that everyone can take the exam in different time.

"Please sit down and take this paper." The young woman gives him a paper and Arthur sits down on one of the tables.

Arthur looks at the first question in shock. Why is this easy? He looks at the second question and it does seem to be the case. He has caught the young woman's attention as she has thought that Arthur doesn't understand a thing because of his actions.

In Arthur's mind, he has called and talked with the System. "Hey, why is this so easy?"

The System replies. "The books you have read about Magic Pill Concoctions are already comprehensive and you can already break it down with your mental strength and understanding."

Arthur can only agree with what the system has said. He has really noticed that his reading speed has improved and it has also become easier for him to understand the books. Perhaps, this is the effect of cultivating one's magic ability?

"That is correct." The system replies.

Arthur is all smile and he has began to answer all of the questions so fast that the young woman, who seems to be an instructor, has once again looked at him. 'He must have gone mad for not understanding a thing.'

The instructor giggles a bit but what shocked her is that after a few more minutes, Arthur has already completed the test and gives her his paper.

"You can now leave the room." The young woman has said before she bursts into laughter because she thinks that Arthur just wants to leave the room. He has even finished faster than the ones who are earlier than him.

After she calms down, the young woman tries to read the answers in Arthur's paper. Her eyes cannot believe what she is seeing. Even geniuses require more time to answer all of this to think it through.

However, in just twenty minutes, Arthur answers all of the questions correctly.
