Simon immediately changed to show his wolf figure in front of Eleanor. The woman was wide-eyed and had goosebumps watching the man she loved turn into a monster right in front of her eyes. He growled, revealing sharp fangs and his two blazing eyes.
"Si-Simon."
Eleanor closed her eyes, tears rolling down her cheeks. She was going to be the beast's meal.
Seeing Eleanor's trembling and crying body, Simon's humanity was moved. Simon didn't want to hurt and make his woman cry. He then backed away slowly, looking at Eleanor with a big belly that contained the baby.
"Ela, I'm sorry," Simon said, getting out of bed.
Eleanor opened her eyes and was relieved Simon had not pounced on her. Simon then goes and locks Eleanor from the outside. Eleanor's body slumped through the tension, and she felt Simon could bite her at any moment. However, she tried to convince herself that the man couldn't possibly hurt her.
After that day, Simon would not allow Eleanor to leave his side. Even though the woman was able to get out but she was always under Simon's tutelage.
Crisanta and Lady Moreland are looking for Eleanor's whereabouts because she hasn't been back for over a week. They also searched Eleanor's aunt's house, and finally, they found out that Eleanor hadn't visited her aunt in almost a year.
"Could he have gone with the man? The baby's father," Lady Moreland asked Crisanta as they were on their way after looking for Eleanor.
"That's what I thought too, madam. She must have gone with the man. But I was worried because Eleanor said she hated the father of her baby. Apart from that, she didn't leave any messages."
"So you mean Eleanor was forced?" asked Lady Moreland in surprise. "Oh, if only she had said who the man was, maybe we'd find it easier."
As two months passed, Eleanor was suffering even more with her pregnancy. She was very greedy, but her body was getting thinner. The child in her stomach loved meat. That's why Simon had to look for food every day to satisfy the hunger of Eleanor and her baby.
One day when Simon came back with a bounty for Eleanor, he heard a groan in his house. Simon immediately opened the door and found Eleanor lying on the floor in pain.
"Ela, what are you doing?"
Simon immediately came over and took Eleanor on his lap. Eleanor's face was pale, her eyes bulging as she endured the pain.
"Simon, I think it's time for me to give birth. My stomach hurts a lot, and is baby keeps moving inside."
Simon was, of course, confused. He didn't know how to help a woman give birth.
"Simon, I think I should go to the hospital."
"Hospital?"
"Aah... I can't take it anymore, Simon. It hurts so much."
Meanwhile, at the same time, Crisanta walked closer to their house. A hunter said he had seen Eleanor around the house with a man.
"Ela, you live in a place like this? Has love made you blind?" Crisanta muttered as she continued walking.
When she reached the door, she was shocked to see Eleanor in pain.
"Eleanor!" Crisanta exclaimed while going inside for a closer look.
"Crisanta, I'm about to give birth. Aah... this hurts."
"We have to go to the hospital," said Crisanta.
"No, do not!" refuse Simon. He didn't want everyone to know that Eleanor had given birth to a werewolf baby.
"Why? what are you thinking? You want her to be in pain all the time. She needs medical help." Crisanta is furious with Simon's refusal.
Crisanta thought Simon was a heartless Evil man for letting Eleanor suffer. Moreover, with Eleanor's body getting thinner, she thought that all along, Simon had put Eleanor under pressure and torture.
"Never mind, I'll give birth here. There's no time to get to the hospital. My baby is getting increasingly urgent to come out," said Eleanor, between the pain.
Eleanor understood Simon's point. If she gave birth to a baby monster, there would be an uproar.
"Alright, get some hot water quick!" Crisanta ordered Simon.
Simon is not happy with Crisanta's arrival. He is possessive and doesn't want anyone else to know about his life. However, in an urgent situation like this, Simon had to let her be in their midst. After all, he needed Crisanta's help.
Simon complied by immediately boiling water. It wasn't long before he came back and saw Crisanta helping with instructions for Eleanor.
In Simon's life, these were the scariest moments of his life. He trembled from the sight of blood showing between Eleanor's legs.
"Wait a minute," said Crisanta. "Yes, now push!"
Eleanor pushed, her face red, desperately trying to push the baby out. Simon couldn't bear to see it. If only he could replace Eleanor's pain, he would.
It wasn't long before a baby's cry echoed throughout the room. Crisanta immediately put the baby in a cloth and wrapped it so it wouldn't get cold. What Simon feared did not happen. The baby was born like a baby in general. It's just that the baby's eyes were copper yellow like Simon's eyes when he was a wolf.
"Your baby is out, and she looks healthy, Eleanor. Her eyes are so beautiful," said Crisanta.
Eleanor smiled, and Simon almost cried with joy as he held his baby. Crisanta then went back to taking care of Eleanor. However, Eleanor continued to bleed. Crisanta became panicked.
"Eleanor calms down," Crisanta said, trying to calm her down so she could relax and stop the bleeding.
However, as time went on, Eleanor's face grew paler. Her eyes slowly closed.
"Eleanor, hang on!" said Crisanta.
Seeing that, Simon immediately put the baby on the bed and tried to wake Eleanor.
"Ela, open your eyes, Ela. I beg you!" Simon tried to resuscitate Eleanor while patting her cheek.
Eleanor opened her eyes and smiled at Simon until finally, she closed her eyes for good.
"Ela, don't scare me. Come on, wake up, honey. You have to live. You don't give up on them! We will live together forever. Ela, please open your eyes!"
Crisanta checked Eleanor's pulse. "She died!" he said in a low voice.
"No, Eleanor. You can't die! I love you, Eleanor." Simon shouted along with the sound of their child crying.
Suddenly there was a sound of thunder booming as if to tell Simon that his punishment had arrived. Losing someone he loved right in front of him.
"Eleanor!" shrieked Simon. Nothing can describe his sadness at that time. It hurts but doesn't bleed.
