The year 2022
"Yeah, I'm perfectly sane. I want that girl, Simon."
Simon made a vicious face. He squeezed Jasper's body even more, even though he knew Jasper wouldn't feel any pain. Simon's anger was at its limit, not understanding what Jasper was thinking.
"What do you want to do to Zalina? After punishing me, you also cursed her. Why are you doing this, Jasper?"
Why? Jasper didn't understand why he was doing something he shouldn't have done.
"Zalina was born because I gave you a chance and gave you time with Eleanor as punishment," Jasper said in a low voice. His neck felt tight, though Simon didn't strangle him.
"Eleanor." This time Simon, who was starting to weaken, heard the name of the woman he loved hundreds of years ago.
However, he quickly regained consciousness with his anger toward Jasper. He picked up Jasper and slammed him to the ground. Jasper didn't fight back, though he could soon retaliate against Simon's treatment of him.
"Now, I understand why you're mad at me," Jasper said, rising from the ground.
Simon was still wary, his anger still evident. The pain of losing Eleanor never went away. Even though hundreds of years had passed, she still embraced the pain in her heart.
After Eleanor's death, he tried various ways to die, but God never allowed him to pass so quickly. God wants to punish Simon as much as the sins he has committed.
"Then why did you approach Zalina?" asked Simon.
"I did not approach her, but Eleanor herself came to me. After all, although she is your descendant, I have contributed to her birth in the world."
Simon laughed bitterly at Jasper's words, making Jasper feel ashamed of his actions. He was the one who had let Simon live to have a child, was also the one who had cursed Simon's descendants, and now he felt proud of that. He cursed Zalina and now wants to help Zalina.
"Hey, God. Is punishing me not enough for you? Zalina that girl, is very innocent and doesn't know anything about my mistakes. You have cursed her, don't play with her life again!"
Jasper moved closer to Simon, who was still clenching his fists.
"Who is going to toy with him? I'm going to help him escape the curse instead."
"Nonsense! Zalina's life was fine at first, but you purposely made her see the painting, so she has an unusual ability. And now you say you want to help her. Huh, I want to laugh at the babbling of a god!" Simon said sarcastically.
Simon's words were valid. That's why Jasper could only stay silent and didn't reply to Simon's comments anymore. Until the werewolf went and gave him another warning, Jasper was just a stupid god.
He returned home to be greeted by Oliver. When his maid asked about dinner, he refused as usual. Jasper was amazed by his consistent attitude of service. Even though he repeatedly refused dinner, Oliver kept asking, and he could smell the food served in the dining room.
"Oliver, how old are you now?" Jasper asked as he was about to climb the stairs.
"Last month, I turned 51, My Lord."
"Have you ever felt in love?"
Oliver was taken aback by Jasper's question. In nearly thirty years of service to Jasper, he had never heard such a question. So far, they have only been involved in discussions concerning household matters.
"Of course, My Lord," Oliver replied, blushing a little.
"How does it feel to be in love?"
"Th-that can't be expressed in words. It's an amazing feeling. Our thoughts will continue to be on her, become possessive because of affection, and feel happy and even nervous when he's around her. Life is more vibrant, we also feel empathy for her, besides…."
"Oh, stop. That's enough!" Jasper interrupted Oliver's unfinished explanation.
"Sorry, I talk too much," Oliver said, looking down a little.
Jasper then walked up the stairs. He was starting to get restless because everything Oliver said was on him.
Yes, Jasper is in love. A god is in love with a wolf descendant. And unfortunately, the woman he loves is the woman he cursed. For whatever reason, that woman is Zalina Roston.
"Moon goddess, what is the meaning of all this? Why did I fall in love with her? Is this karma for me?"
Almost all night, Jasper couldn't close his eyes. Although he didn't feel sleepy, his brain still felt tired.
When he arrived at his office, something was different, and he just remembered that today there was no secretary to replace Linda. Yesterday, he subconsciously asked Zalina to work for him, even though he doubted whether Zalina could work as his secretary or not.
Jasper glanced at his watch. Zalina should have come if she had accepted the job. Jasper then called the woman.
Zalina had arrived, but she had to deal with Pete and Rose's friends when she entered the building. They still don't allow Zalina to meet Jasper even though they already know that Jasper knows Zalina.
"Gosh! She still has that face coming full of confidence," said Rose, putting her hands on her chest arrogant.
"That's right. This woman wants to seduce Mr. Jasper back. She looks much better now than when she first came, sure if it wasn't to tease Mr. Jasper." One of Rose's friends also commented.
Zalina is lazy to serve them. She has explained that she will work there, but they don't believe it. Therefore, she decided to leave them. And at the same time, her cell phone rings.
"Hey, how presumptuous you are! We're talking to you, country girl!" Jasper heard Rose's loud voice.
"Wait for me there! I'll be down soon!" said Jasper, sounding annoyed.
A few minutes later, Jasper appeared before them. Rose and her friends looked at each other as Jasper studied them.
"I heard someone yelling at my girlfriend. Who is that?" Jasper asked.
Of course, the people there gasped at Jasper's question.
