Denial

Daisy sighed, turned to look at Richard then sat on the edge of the bed with her legs crossed.

"You don't want me to be hurt and humiliated again, what can you do for me?" She asked.

"Take you away from here, maybe we'll get married and live decently like everyone else," said Richard.

Instantly Daisy smiled sarcastically, glancing at Richard who was talking about marriage. Remembering her mother who was only loved and then abandoned, even though she had been with her father for a long time, made it difficult for her to trust the man in front of her. Now the man said he would marry and then live together when she didn't love him and there was no match at all. There are too many things to consider so no decision can be made soon.

"Put your bullshit away, Mr. Richard . . don't waste your money just to be here to talk with me... That's not my job," she said.

"But I'm very serious, I want to get you free from this place!" Richard said with a reassuring look, then sat down beside Daisy and took her hand gently while his gaze was very serious. "I promise I will give you a better life."

"And what is the reason you want me?" Daisy asked.

"Because I love you. Love, at first sight, makes me feel like I have to have you and protect you. I want to turn you on the right path," Richard replied with a pleading look, eager for Daisy to understand.

Daisy was silent, looking at Richard who looked so sincere but she couldn't believe it. Love at first sight for a prostitute seemed very hard to believe, and the man before her might have been no different from Nicole who would take advantage of her beauty. Maybe she'll be made a prostitute somewhere else, or just get hurt like her mother. the girl also thought that if this man sincerely wanted to help her, it would take strength to fight Nicole and her guards because he wouldn't be able to make up for the millions of dollars to get her out of here without fear of being arrested again.

"Please," Richard whispered, stroking Daisy's hand gently.

"How much did you cost to be here?" Daisy asked, straying from the main topic.

"Two thousand dollars," said Richard.

Daisy let out a shaky breath, then pulled her hand away from Richard. She raised her head and shifted her position to sit on Richard's lap facing each other, then wrapped her arms around his neck. The girl looked into the man's eyes very intensely, then touched his firm jaw and thin beard.

Richard just silently swallowed his saliva, staring at Daisy who was so beautiful up close, he could even feel her soft and warm body, making him feel like he was going to lust but he tried to restrain himself.

"Forget your plan to get me out of here," Daisy said, gently kissing Richard on the cheek.

"Why?" Richard whispered.

"You're poor, you don't have the strength to fight Madan and her people," said Daisy in a sensual tone. "And besides that, I also can't believe you….I don't believe in love at first sight, and I'm not ready for marriage. I'm not ready to be chased by Madam Nicole's people ... I'm not so sure you can save me," she continued, pushing Richard down and then sitting on his stomach.

"Daisy...You have to believe me because I never intended to hurt you," said Richard, looking down at Daisy who was crawling on top of him and slowly stroking his chest which was still covered in clothes. . . he doesn't feel like doing that because he doesn't like making love this way, it's like it's not with heart and sincerity, this is not a dream that has been.

"Shut up, it's better to just accept the service I give because you have paid ….You don't have much time here after all!" Daisy said, then lowered her head to kiss Richard's neck.

Richard, who didn't like Daisy's attitude, immediately pushed his aside to lie down, then after that, he got up from the bed and stood up. The man after fixing his clothes which were a bit messy because of the prostitute.

"Sorry, I can't," he said.

Daisy sighed, then lay down on her right leg and glanced lazily at Richard. She didn't know why the man was acting holy, as if he wasn't tempted by her current appearance.

"You are the only customer who doesn't want to get service from me," she said. "There are so many men who want to come here to get my services...but you refused when you almost got it. You're weird, Could it be that you're not normal, you're gay… You're not even tempted by my sexy body!" she continued in annoyance, feeling like she was being disrespected by Richard.

Richard smiled faintly, glancing at Daisy who was annoyed that she had turned him down. "Daisy... I'm not gay, I'm not weird and I'm so tempted by you. You're so beautiful with your perfect body... I want you but this isn't how I got you."

"Then, how?" Daisy asked lazily, turning her back to Richard.

"Let's get out of here and get married... I have a house quite far from here. I'll make sure we'll be safe there," Richard replied, slowly sitting on the edge of the bed, glancing at Daisy's beautiful body.

"Too many men promise things as you promised, and none of them I can trust. Men are sometimes good when they have a purpose, not for sincerity. Many cheaters, how can I believe?" Daisy remembers when she first met Nicole, trusted her very much, and appointed her as the Goddess of luck as her goddess of help, but after that, she was disappointed because when she grew up she was only made a prostitute.

"But not all men are bad," said Richard.

"And you would say that you are a good man?" Daisy asked blankly, pointing at the mirror that reflected part of her body in only black lingerie. She could also see that Richard behind her didn't dare touch her at all.

"I'm not saying I'm the best but I'll try my best to make you happy," Richard replied.

"You stupid."

"Why?" asked Richard, frowning.

"I guess your time is running out..it means you're wasting your money just to talk to a girl like me. Next time don't ever come here again if it's just to ask me to talk," Daisy answered then sat up while grabbing a beige robe that lay on the bed. "Nothing will change ... And even if I want to change my fate, it's not with you. You'd better find a girl prettier and more respectable than me. Getting me will only get you in trouble," she continued while wearing a robe.

"So you rejected me?" asked Richard.

"You're the one who rejected me because I've given services," replied Daisy.

"But I proposed to you just now."

"No rings, nothing, and I'm sure you won't be able to get me out of here because 2,000 bucks just aren't enough . . if you want to kidnap me, then your life will end up in the hands of madam Nicole's people," Daisy explained then got out of bed and walked to the window. she had deliberately stayed away from Richard because she didn't want to hear his words or his promises. After all, the trauma made it hard for her to trust herself and her best friend.

Richard sighed, trying to stay patient with Daisy who was so stubborn and thought that everyone is bad.
