Chapter nine

Everything happened so fast till it was the night before the wedding. There was nothing left to expect. I stayed in the room with haunted memories. Memories of pain, hunger, and assault.

I was lying down on the bed when a beautiful woman walked into the room. It seemed she was allowed by the waiters and maidens.

That wasn't my problem. I didn't know her. I have never seen her in my entire life.

She was in a blue gown. Her brown hair was elegantly styled and with each step she took her hips swirled in the opposite direction. Her skin was not rough, nor was it smooth. I could easily say she was beautiful.

The gown did not cover her body properly. The transparent material at her cleavages and the composite design on the back of the dress kept me mute.

"Hello?" She said to me. I was still lost in my memory. I was on a search because I didn't know who she was.

She had the care of a mother. Honestly, I haven't received such care and attention in such a long while. Before I could reply to her greetings, I was already so comfortable with her.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Call me Malie. I know what you must be going through and I came to see you." She said softly.

"My name is Alysa," I said coldly and stayed quiet

I was quiet because the answer to my question was incomplete. I demanded an answer through my body language. She stared at me, then she continued.

"Well, I know the Alpha. You can also know me as the supporting actress. I came to see the woman who Jeremy has seen, touched, and also wants to marry." Malie said.

I adjusted myself properly.

"Really? For what reasons? What do you care about? Why do you want to see me? How will you help me?" I started bashing her with questions without allowing her to answer. I did not care.

"Chill." She said coldly. I was still because she was so nice at first.

"Jeremy usually sleeps with women and in the end refuses to marry them. He just broke his rule."

"I am sure he has had his way with you, but he still wants to marry you," Malie said.

"I don't want to marry him. I have zero interest in being with a man like him." I gave an ejected answer without being asked.

I paused. It was then I realized that Jeremy also assaulted Malie.

"Wait…hold on!" I said immediately.

"Did Jeremy assault you too?" I asked Malie. She nodded a lot of times in positivity.

I was shocked. I saw this too as an opportunity to help myself. I saw it as an opportunity to escape. I had to. This also reminded me of the times I begged and promised Jeremy a whole lot if he would allow me to go. It reminded me of the I sought answers. I realized it was a total waste of time. I started asking a whole lot of questions. I found out that Jeremy usually assaults Malie while I was missing for three years. He also did that to a lot of women. He promised some marriage and some begged for marriage. He always said that he can't break his rule of sleeping with women and marrying them.

I was shocked.

If shock was a person, at that point it was me.

"Damn, he is a very bad person. I hate him." I said while covering my hands on my face crying. They were tears of pain with a little proportion of happiness. I was happy that I found someone who went through the same thing as me.

"Do you have any secrets in bed? Anyone that you can share and it would help me? I asked the most important question. I kept it for the last.

"I could not become Luna. It is very impossible to share Alpha with the Luna."

Malie responded.

"The Alpha is not a single-minded person after all." She added.

"Hmm, what a situation." I consoled myself. I didn't know about her. At some point, it sounded like she wanted to become Luna.

"I have zero interest in being his Luna. I don't want to be his Luna. I need to leave here—I need to escape from him." I concluded.

I was disgusted by the humiliating things Malie mentioned to me. It sounded traumatic but she looked good while saying them all to me. It would have been very hard for me. Time actually heals.

I wondered what became of her fate after Jeremy had shattered everything she had. It was so sad. Then, I remembered that it was the same route I was approaching.

"If there was a chance to leave, I wouldn't hesitate," I said again for more clearance on her end.

"There is only one way," Malie said while she whispered slowly.

"I will be ever ready to use that only. Please, tell me. I am tired of suffering in this manner.

" The secret to getting him is to play cat and mouse." Malie became straightforward.

This lady didn't understand me all this while, she thinks I was joking.

"Wow, Malie."

"How could you be giving me tips on how to attract him?"

"I have told you a lot of times I have no interest in being a Luna," I said.

"Why would a lady refuse to be the Alpha's Luna? Malie asked.

"You must be joking right now, Malie."

"The person we are talking about here has a bad stinking character. Where do you want me to fetch the attraction? This particular attraction won't fall from the sky, even in decades." I concluded.

I tried convincing this Lady. I tried talking to her, to convince her.

How will she think that I'm after being with Jeremy?

Yuck!

"For the last time, give me a chance."

"I mean what I say, I have no interest in Jeremy."

"I am tired of trying to convince you, but please believe me. You are my last hope, please––" I started begging her.

"I will leave after I have satisfied my curiosity," Malie said.
