"It's not a big deal, mommy. He forgot to tell you something."
"Tell me what?"
"Something excites me, and I can't wait for it," replied Lori in a cheerful and enthusiastic tone making Anxia chuckle.
"If it is something that pleases you, why apologize? He did nothing wrong." came the answer from the mother.
"Promise? You won't be mad at dad?" Lori extended her pinky finger toward the mother, and Anxia twisted the same finger against her daughter's to confirm her promise.
"I promise. But shouldn't your father be the one begging for an apology?" Anxia glanced at her husband while trying to hold back her laughter, seeing for the first time she cornered her husband until Richard felt helpless.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to forget about it, but… I completely did."
"Okay. Now tell me what thing you've forgotten to tell me."
"That…"
Before Richard could answer his question, their driver reported that they had arrived at the airport.
