Miasma, Legion, Soul & new UMI

[DAY UNKNOWN]

Neo doesn't know how much time has already passed, but it already felt like forever in the world of darkness.

As time goes on, he feels calmer and his mind begins to sort itself out from the chaos and the death of his mother.

The only thing Neo sees is a red light emanating from him. This reminds Neo of the red ball he found last time in the world of darkness.

Who knows how long Neo was in this state until suddenly something changed.

Neo noticed small threads making their way towards him in the darkness. There are a total of three threads coming his way. Two are red, giving Neo a sense of life and strength. Meanwhile, the other thread, which is purple, gives Neo an unfamiliar feeling, appearing cold and incredibly powerful.

They were very small, but Neo could still see them very well. It was only than that he noticed that his vision has changed in the world of darkness. He sees around the ball at a 360 degree angle like his eyes are around all over his body. It's weird to describe, but for Neo it feels like normal seeing, like having two eyes.

The threads got closer and closer by time which only intensified the feelings Neo sensed from the threads.

As they approached Neo, they directly drove into him and connected with him. The feelings Neo felt then were incomprehensible. His entire being was invaded with renewed vigor and clarity.

But before Neo realized it again, the world around him changed again and he opened his eyes to find himself back in reality again.

The first thing Neo noticed was that he was standing in the exact same spot that he was standing at his mother's funeral. But it wasn't night anymore and not raining.

Only then did Neo notice the tank floating near him.

"Host, are you alright? Emily spoke to Host but Host didn't respond. Emily was worried. Is Host okay? Does Host need anything? Can Emily help?" asked Emily's sudden worried sounding voice.

Neo didn't react towards Emily first. He was to occupied with the changes that accured in his being. 'What happened to me inside the world of darkness? Why was I the red ball form before? What were these different threads that connected themselves on me?' he thought.

Only after Neo heard Emily's voice again calling for him did he notice her.

All around Neo was still the dark/purple nebula which extends around about 6 meters away from Neo. One can still see Neo through the fog, but not really well. In addition, Neo still wore his demonic armor and held his broadsword in his hand.

"How long have I been in this state? Emily, can you analyze what the haze around me is?" asked Neo.

"Host has been in this state for five days, no matter what Emily tried, host didn't respond. If Emily hadn't checked Host's brain activity, Emily would have thought Host died." said Emily sadly.

[DAY 22]

"Emily, I'm sorry I gave you such a fright, but I wasn't really in control of what happened." said Neo apologetic.

"No, host doesn't need to apologize." responded Emily.

"Emily has been trying to analyze the fog around Host but Emily can't find any data about it, If Emily couldn't make visual contact, Emily wouldn't be able to detect the fog... I'm sorry that Emily can't help, host." said Emily sadly.

"No, Emily, everything is fine. The fact that you can't analyze the fog tells me a lot. I guess I'll have to do my own research." Neo said with a small smile on his lips while he deactivated his armor.

His armor reformed to Neo's normal skin and he didn't notice any physical changes to his body.

But something felt strange. The fog around Neo felt like it was part of him. Like it was attached to his body. Neo, therefore, decided to command the mist to move to the right side of him.

The mist obeyed Neo's command and moved to the right, while some parts would always was connected to Neo. Neo then decided to experiment with the fog a bit more to determine its properties and capabilities.

First, he ordered the mist to split in half and so the mist did. The mist split to Neos right and to his left. Afterwards, Neo ordered the mist to take on a different shape. He tried different simple ones first, a sphere, then a cube afterwards a pyramid etc.

The mist carried out all of Neo's instructions and changed its shape accordingly.

Neo then decided to try complex structures. An arm, a sword, and a weapon. Neo noticed that the mist was taking longer to take on the structures and that the different shapes weren't perfect.

Finishing with the shapes, Neo tried to change the physical state of the fog. The mist then turned into a black and purple liquid afterwards it solidified into a black and purple brick, but the liquid and solid mass were still floating in the air, just as it had as it was still a mist. Also some part would always need to be in connection with Neo. The mist couldn't exist on it own.

Neo then commanded the mist to take on a simple form of a sword and solidify. Then he ordered the fog to attack a concrete wall.

The mist followed Neo's command and hit the wall. The concrete wall had a slight impact mark, but it was not broken.

After that, Neo wanted to know if the mist could lift things and how that would feel for him. The mist followed Neo's request and lifted a tire upwards. Neo could also feel the tire's mass, only lighter, like lifting a bottle of water maybe.

Then he wanted to see the strength of his mist against aliving being. He ordered the mist ot attack a random rat which were eating on some of the thugs on the street. The mist started ist attack and just surrounded the rat. Afterwards the rat just started to decompose slowly but steadily. The rat started to struggle and wanted to escape but Neo just hardend the outer shell of the mist and blocked the rats escape. After around one minute what was left of the rat was a puddle full of liquid.

Because of the properties the mist possesses, Neo decided to name the mist Miasma.

At the end, Neo decided to end his experiments with Miasma and order the mist to go away. The Miasma followed Neo's instructions and entered his body. However Neo could still perceive and control the Miasma within him.

"Well, I need something to eat now urgently." Neo said as he decided to get the brains and organs of the thugs he killed for five days. There he found some Undead already eating his gain.

'Wow, stealing seems normal among undead. Hmph just you wait' thought Neo as he came closer towards the undead.

But suddenly something changed one of the undead that was eating before stood up and just stared at him. Neo first thought, that the Undead wanted to attack him, but after concentrating on the Undead for a while he could hear a strange call coming from within it. It was as if it was calling him to do something with it.

Neo who didn't understand thought for a while and decided to concentrat at that call a while longer and suddenly the world around him changed again and he entered the world of darkness again.

Neo found himself their again as the red sphere which had three threads connected on him. Than he heared the calling again and looked into the darkness. After sometime he could see what was calling for him.

It was a small turquoise thread that wiggled around in front of him like a snake. It coudn't come near him as his red light obstructed it, but after it was near enough, Neo decided to "grap" it and pull it towards him, afterwards the thread connected itself with Neo, just like the others did.

After Neo connected the thread a new world opened infront of him. He could see, hear and feel everything the undead seems to do.

Afterwards he woke up in reality. It was strange at first to see himself through the eyes of some one else, especially since he has changed so much over this little time that has happened since the apocalypse took place. Therefore, Neo decided to ignore the new senses and just like they came they were gone. But Neo could feel if he would like to sense them again he would be able to.

Furthurmore Neo could feel with what he has connected in the world of darkness. It seems to be the soul of the undead. He feeled that if he would like to he could demand the death of the undead anytime. he also had a lot of questions on what the world of darkness and the red sphere really was, but that need furthur examinations which would take Neo sometime, therefore he decided to do them later. Right now he would like to concentrat on the matter with the connection with the undead.

He felt that he could command the undead to do stuff. Therefore, he simply thought about the undead walking three meters to the right side. Like a loyal dog, the undead obliged his command and moved three meters right.

Neo could't belive what just happened. He expected to be able to command the undead, but still actually seeing the undead was something else. He coundn't control his excitement anymore. He wanted to try out more commands. He ordered the undead to attack a wall next to him and the undead obliged his call again and attacked the wall while trying to bite the wall. Neo than adjusted the command and demanded the undead to attack with it's claws instead. The Undead quickly did so and Neo got even more excited. Afterwards he commanded the undead to follow him, stay on one spot and to follow another undead. The Undead oblieged all his orders without question, well it wasen't like it had a choice at the beginning. The only command the undead coudln't oblige were too complexe ones. For example the Undead couldn't use guns or any kind of weapons, or control the tank.

However Neo was more than happy with his new ability. In the past, Neo has thought about creating a human force that would be loyal towards him. But than he would to always beware the complexe human nature and he didn't like that at all.

However, now with this ability such problems are solved. He can create a gigantic force out of undead and command them like a king. Well he certainly needs to do more reaserch with this ability to furthur understand it's possibilities. But he is sure that this ability will become his most useful in the future. As Neo now gained the ability to build an army of undead.

Neo's legion will be countless, it will not starve, it will not desert, it will not rest and it will keep growing.

After Neo thought about his new abilities he decided to eat and rest first. Afterward he would start with his most difficult research until today. He wil try to figure out what the world of darkness, the threads and the red sphere are.

For three days straight Neo decided to find a way to explain the world of darkness and everything that has to do with it.

However, Neo still often thought of his mother during the couple of days. She always had that burned and disfigured face that Neo saw her die in. His anger would often boil over at these times, but he decided to put his anger into his research and get the results even faster. He knows that he needs more strength to revenge his mother, even if he is a special undead, against the military he still needs every bit of strength he can get.

'ANDROLD I SWEAR I WILL SLAUGHTER YOU!!!' Neo thought to himself in some of these moments.

He slightly regrets having already killed everyone around him, as he thirsts more than ever to kill.

Neo also found in time that when he focuses on the world of darkness, his consciousness returns there again. He could then leave the world afterwards, if he focused on reality again.

Neo has a few theories about the world of darkness and was able to break them down into one in the end. The only problem is that he is in completely new areas that he is not familiar with. A lot of the information he has is therefore not scientifically based, but Neo will be the first in his world to set up an explanation for it, so there are no references to help Neo in anyway.

Neo suspects that the world of darkness is his soul. Furthermore, he suspects that the red sphere is the core of his soul and is probably the place where his consciousness exists. Furthermore, Neo has the theory that the three threads connected to his soul core are most likely his types and his miasma. The red ones are mind and regeneration, while the purple one is his miasma.

Until now, Neo has become stronger and stronger by strengthening his body, while the virus has changed his body and created its two types: mind and regeneration. But because the body has changed, the soul seems to have changed as well. Neo's assumption is therefore that the soul and the body are dependent on each other and the soul can not be stronger than the body. Furthermore, Neo speculate that there should only be 10 stages in total, with each stage being divided into three phases: low, mid and high. Neo's undead body and his soul are always in one of the stages.

As a person, Neo was roughly a Stage 0 mid in the body and a Stage 0 low in the soul. It wasn't until he became an undead that he received a stage 1 low undead body and a stage 0 mid soul.

There are types for the body as well as for the soul, which Neo will now rename to "traits". Which traits belong to which part of Neo determines what energy they need. For example, Neo's miasma trait belongs to his soul and therefore draws its energy from Neo's soul. Neo's body traits, on the other hand, uses the energy out of his body. As a result, Neo feels drained when he uses his mind trait with telekineses too often.

Furthurmore, each trait can be viewed as a ability tree. There are new abilities that Neo can use at every level he advances. With his mind trait, for example, it's his telekinesis ability. In the future, as his control of his mind and his strength of his body gets higher, he can get more different abilities in the mind trait.

Neo makes his body stronger by eating more, especially humans, animals, but also other particularly strong undead.

His soul, on the other hand, becomes stronger when he meditate in the world of darkness, i.e. when his consciousness is in his soul core. However, maybe Neo will find other ways in the future to strengthen his soul faster.

Furthermore, the higher the stage of body or soul the more you have to eat or meditate in order to increase your stage to the next level.

Currently, Neo's status should look something like this:

BODY: LOW STAGE 2 MUTANT UNDEAD BODY; TRAITS: MIND AND REGENERATION; ABILITIES: SUPER REGENERATION, TELEKINESIS.

SOUL: LOW STAGE 1 SOUL; TRAIT: MIASMA; ABILITIES: BASIC MIASMA CONTROL.

Then there are the turquoise threads, these are the undead that Neo control. Any mutated undead should also have a soul and should therefore be able to level them up.

While Neo was thinking and reserching together with Emily, they updated the Undead Mutation Insights (UMI) and here are all the changes summarized again.

NEW RANKING SYSTEM:

BODY STAGE 0 - 10 (LOW, MID, HIGH)

SOUL STAGE 0 - 10 (LOW, MID, HIGH)

TRAITS are like a ability tree, new ABILITIES are unlocked over time, as Neo enhances his control of the TRAIT and BODY or SOUL.

ABILITIES: unlocked over time, as the soul or body gets stronger.

The BODY gets stronger by eating.

The SOUL gets stronger by meditating.

The soul will always be one hole stage under the body. However at STAGE 10 BODY, the SOUL also can be STAGE 10.

UMI may change in the future again when Neo has new Insights through research or new information. But for now Neo wants to focus his attention onwards his new project called: Legion...
