Rise my legion! (2/3)

From now on I will record the strength of Neo's Legion at the end of each chapter.

[DAY 29]
Neo has spent the past three days expanding his Legion by attacking several smaller survivor groups. Of course there were undead in one or the other fight who died. But Neo has always ended up with more than he had before, and as long as Neo doesn't lose one of his five elite undead, the death of a few normal undead is fine.
Furthermore, during these tree days Neo also made a new discoverie that he added to UMI.
If an undead in Neo's Legion infects a human and turn them to the undead, they bond with his soul core as well and become therefore part of his Legion.
Neo was very happy with this discoverie, especially since he can expand his legion much quicker thanks to it. The only problem is that every undead he or his undead create join the Legion as STAGE 0 UNDEAD.
For the undead to grow in strength and gain TRAITS, they will have to eat more and need to be able to mutate. However, Neo doesn't see too much of a problem with letting his Legion eat more as he has a lot of fighting to do in the near future.
By the end of Day 29 , Neo's Legion has grown to a total of 1,341 STAGE 0 UNDEAD.

Currently Neo is meditating with closed eyes on a hospital roof.
He has turned the hospital to his legion's temporary hideout, while he is meditating on the roof, throughout the hole building below him resides his legion. They are everywhere in the hospital and were commanded to stay and attack every possible threat to the Legion and Neo.
Moreover, Neo also has send a bunch of undead together with one Attacker and one Defender to the nearby streets to look out for possible humans to eat. Additionally, Neo has also placed various undead on the surrounding streets with whom he shares his senses to see and hear if enemies are approaching.
Although Neo initially had some trouble perceiving the multiple senses of many undead at once, over the past three days of constant training he has found it getting easier. He now manages to share his senses with 10 undead without a problem.
On the other hand, Neo's theory that the larger the Legion is, the faster his soul advances, seems to be on hold for now, as Neo thinks his Legion needs to be much larger to make an observable difference.

Suddenly, Neo opened his eyes and stood up. His miasma then came out of his feet and Neo ordered the miasma to form a thin, round solid disk under his feet.
The miasma followed the instructions and after about two minutes formed the completely dark round disk which is about four meters wide and long and about 0.5 cm high. Neo then ordered the disc beneath his feet to slowly rise and try to carry Neo on it.
The miasma obeyed Neo's command and slowly began to fly. First a meter above the roof, then two, then three... only at 50 meters did Neo tell the miasma to stop.
Originally the hospital that Neo was on is about 30 meters high. With the 50 meters in the air he has flown so far, Neo is a total of 80 meters above the ground. The wind was a bit stronger up here and the sight was magnific as he could see the hole district, but Neo focused on something completely different.
Right now, Neo tried to measure how much energy his flight cost his soul. He doesn't know what or how is soul has this energy that can operate his Miasma TRAIT. However he is sure that a kind of energy must exist, as every action in this world cost energy to perform.
The body needs energy that it gets from nutriments to perform the simplest movment. So what nutriments does his soul need? Meditation? What happens when Neo meditates and why is it giving his soul energy?
Neo has no answer to his questions for now. But he can try to learn and reaserch his soul and his soul energy slowly bit by bit. While thinking about all this, 30 minutes past and Neo feeled his soul slowly starting to overload.
Neo then ordered the miasma to slowly lower itself onto the roof again. The miasma obeyed Neo and brought him back safely to the ground. Where Neo immediately began meditating cross-legged with his eyes closed.

[DAY 30]
Only after Neo had meditated until the early morning did he get up and open his eyes.
"Success" Neo said with a smile on his lips.
"This will be my second ability to create under the SOUL TRAIT: MIASMA. The ability increases my mobility on the battlefield. I can think of a few more abilities to test and create, but I'll do that another time since they're already here." said Neo with an annoyed face.
"Have you got everything ready Emily?" asked Neo.
"Host all preparations are complete, the tank and truck are at a safe distance and the Legion is finished loading everything up on the truck. Emily wishes Host success!" said Emily.
"Well done Emily." said Neo with a small smile on his face.
"Hmph... they dare to come to me personally? What fools. If you want to make it so easy for me, you should also entertain me a little." said Neo with a even wider smile on his lips.

Meanwhile, on a road not far from Neo, 35 vehicles are driving slowly while a large crowd is walking alongside them, towards the hospital. The group slowly but steadily kill all the undead on their way, loosing none to the undead.
This group of survivors was one of the two largest gangs in the district prior to the apocalypse.
They are named *The Snappy Snake* and no one could boss them around in the past. They were one of the major drug producing and selling gangs in the hole east district.
Furthurmore, they practically owned the police in their district, before the end of the world. They sold their impure and toxic drugs to the many addicts in the slums, while the good stuff was only available for the west destrict and the rich living there.
They were like kings in their own little country, they owned the streets, every big club and restaurant was under their control. However, after the onset of the apocalypse, none of that mattered anymore.
Because their former customers have become the walking dead, killing and eating with no interest in money or drugs.
They lost everything, their connections, their influence and especially their money. But at the same time they got potential to become more in this world.
Instead of their little kingdom on the streets, they will build a real one in a huge city of millions. Then they will become the riches of the riches and rule their land while drugging it to obey his every command.
The gang consists of 20,000 members today. Most joined the gang after the apocalypse and only follow their leader, The Snake, out of self-interest. Most members were former strip club or gaming club customers, which were unlucky and got stuck in this district after the apocalypse happened.
None of the new members really want to follow The Snake's bidding, but in the apocalypse, without the protection of his gang, they would have no chance of surviving.
Furthurmore, was The Snake an optimized human. They are humas which were geneticly modified in any way the Supreme Galactic Goverment allowed them to be, also the price to modify someone is just hilariously high, so The Snakes parents must have had some money to afford it.
Anyways, they modified his DNA to have certain characteristics. The Snake therefore has two snake eyes, matching its name. Possesses a higher level of perception than most humans and is otherwise slightly stronger than the normal man.
The Snake is around 180 cm tall and has a well built body, he also has red medium length hair and his snake eyes are yellowish/orange.

The Snake has been planning to raid the nearby hospital for five days. They need the drugs in the hospital to gain more influence with the survivors in the district, as their competitors for power are no other than their former rival *The Ravening Wolfes*, which is a gang made out of former assassins.
Although the The Ravening Wolfes were also a criminal gang before the apocalypse, they have changed since then. They decided not to stick to their former selves, but to really help people, especially since the apocalypse is affecting everyone on the first place.
Therefore, they also have a number of members of about 100,000 survivors, where about 40,000 would be combat ready.
However, because a mountain can't have two tigers, The Snake decided to outsmart its stronger competitor with supplies and medicine.
'Let's see what people bring you when they all become addicted to drugs. They will come to me and beg me for more.' The Snake thought maliciously.
As previously stated, The Snake sees the apocalypse differently, rather than a complete catastrophe, he sees the potential to usurp the power of this new world. He wants to get the survivors on his side by drugging them to obey his every command.
However, The Snake is a coutious man and therfore has ordered some troops to scout the area around the hospital for a few days.
When he noticed that a horde of undead has moved into the hospital yesterday he decided to take over the hospital faster than planned, fearing that more undead would gather there and ruin his plans.
However, what he didn't know is that Neo made the hospital his hideout. Otherwise, if he knew of Neo's existence, he would probably keep his distance from such a monster.
However, it was already too late. Neo has noticed the survivors in the last few days and killed most of them. He only let a handful escape on purpose when he found out about The Snakes' plan to take over the hospital.
Neo found this out when he tortured one of the scouts with his undead.
Since then he has loaded into a large truck and hidden the various medical instruments and medicines that might be useful to him in the future.
In addition, he has taken other precautions to kill the incoming enemies. He placed explosives in two of the buildings from the direction the humans were coming. The only way for the humans to escape then would be to attack Neo's Legion head-on.
Neo will then join the fight and use one of his new SOUL PATH MIASMA ABILITIES, which he has been developing alongside the DARK DISK ABILITY over the past three days.
If they want his hospital and want to destroy his legion, then Neo will just take their lives and make them his new legion.

The Snake and his 20,000 Soldiers are currently driving right in front of the hospital and wanted to hold and start to clear the undead in the area.
But suddenly all the undead nearby started to retreat towards the hospital and didn't attack them.
They were firstly confused about this behavior. Undead that retreat and don't attack humans straight when they see them? How is that possible?
But after their initial confusion, something unexpected happened again.
Behind the large group, two buildings on either side of the street suddenly exploded and they began to collapse down on the street they came from. Other than that, the blast didn't kill anyone and just added more confusion.
But before they could start asking questions and investigating what happened, something fell right into their ranks out of nowhere.
A being complete in demonic dark armor jumped into their ranks straight from the sky itself and as soon as it hit the ground it crushed four people and a black liquid erupted from the being.
The liquid flew in the air and went into the mouths, eyes, nose and ears of the four people dead on the ground.
Before anyone could react quickly enough, the demon then jumped at the people nearby. He didn't kill them or anything, the black liquid just flowed into the mouths of all the people near him.
Once the survivors got out of their confusion, they began shooting at the demon.
They initially believed the demon to be an undead TRAIT: DEFENSE and therefore resorted to heavy ammunition such as rocket launchers and grenades, but could not use the weapons because the demon was right in their midst.
Otherwise they would kill their own people. But as more and more survivors lay on the ground, killed by the black liquid, they decided to use the guns anyway.
But when they launched the rockets and weapons, they experienced something completely insane again.
The rockets and grenades stalled in the air and turned in the air toward some vehicles, then destroying them as they exploded.
Meanwhile, the demon made short work of the people in its immediate vicinity. No one even had a chance to attack it. However, as they attacked it with more and more bullets, the demon's attack started to become slower.
But before the survivors could rejoice, something unexpected happened again. The dead that the demon killed with its black liquid rose again as undead and began attacking and killing their former counterparts.
That was the moment when from the right flank a large group of undead came out of nowhere and attacked the survivors.
Leading the attack were two mutated undead with armor that blocked all shots fired at them, but more than that they actively protected the undead in their vicinity, something that usually never happened.
Meanwhile, two large and strong undead charged the survivors head-on, killing two or so people with each attack.
Also, every now and then, the survivors, who were becoming fewer and fewer, could see an undead or two who had yellow eyes and attacked them more aggressively and faster than the normal undead. These undead mainly caused many sudden deaths.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHA" the demon on the battlefield suddenly yelled, panicking the already nervous survivors.
The survivors became weaker and weaker and quickly the tide turned for the undead.
Where they used to outnumber the undead and wanted to kill them initially, the undead now outnumber them and slaughter and eat people like insects.
The Snake saw all this and coordinated his troops all the time. But no matter what he did, the undead reacted quickly and made sure his tactics didn't work.
"The undead are led by someone. One undead must lead them all, otherwise there can be no other reason why I fail!" screamed the panicked Snake suddenly, but before he could take any further action, a black liquid flew into his face and entered his body via his nose, mouth and eyes and quickly the leader of The Snappy Snakes died and fell to the ground, only to rise A few seconds later as an undead and join Neo's Legion as a soldier.
The rest of the battle was then over quickly, the remaining humans were just too scared and after only 30 minutes Neo's legion grew by about 18,000 undead.
"HAHAHAHA... this ability is just absolutely gorgeous! I'll call you INFECTIOUS LIQUID." screamed Neo as he looked around the battlefield.
All around him stood his legion, labbing on some corpses and also screaming in unison with their master.
"KRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

NEW: SOUL PAHT MIASMA ACTIVE ABILITY: INFECTIOUS LIQUID (Explanation: The Miasma goes into a liquid state and uses Neo's blood that it received from Neo's body earlier to infect all living beings within its 6 meter range with the blood and turn them into undead, who then join Neo's Legion. Neo can use this ability for around 20 minutes and needs to replenish the blood in the Miasma)
