Conquest of the Central District (3/5)
[DAY 49]
In the early morning, a massive Legion of Undead, in armor, made their way through the streets of the devastated megalopolis of Abeus.
These undead were all part of Neo's Legion, who were ordered by him to march on the streets of the city right behind him, on his way to the Camp.
After Neo emerged from his meditative state and learned of the massive Horde of Undead attacking his next prey, Camp University and Camp Luma, he decided to move out as soon as possible.
When Neo entered the Central District with his Legion and felt the Stage 2 Mutant Undead in the Horde, greed grew within him.
You must know that Neo's body needs two things to evolve, when possibly as quickly and as much as he can get.
On the one hand, he needs human flesh as a basic supply and more of it means the faster and bigger his evolution will be. On the other hand, Neo desperately needs more purple crystals, which Neo will call Body Core from now on.
Because, like his Soul possesses a Soul Core, from where Neo's consciousness exists and his Soul Energy comes from. Likewise, his Undead Body has a Core, the purple crystal, which powers the entire endoskeleton of the Undead Body and therefore will be named Body Core.
The Body Cores of Undead contain a plethora of Virus, so it's best for Neo to eat as much as possible. He used to use the Body Cores from Stage 1 Mutant Undead for this, but now Neo needs stronger Body Cores to get stronger and the one from Stage 2 Mutant Undead is the best he can get, for now.
But there are just too few Stage 2s that Neo could use so far, as he has only fought and defeated two until now. But when Neo felt the handful of Stage 2s in the Horde, his whole body tingled with joy. Neo asked Emily again if he could see his changed status and Emily promptly showed it to him.

After Neo ate the Body Core of the Stage 2 Undead Tree, Neo's body evolved into Mid Stage 2. At the same time, Neo's body changes drastically and he's already feeling the effects.
Neo's body characteristics have evolved exponentially, allowing Neo to easily deflect bullets under 50 caliber with his body alone. He is already as strong as ten men and faster than any living thing on earth has ever been.
Neo's perception has also expanded and he can now easily perceive the flapping of an insect's wings from a distance of up to 10 km.
But the most significant advances have come from Neo's Telekinesis ability.
Neo can now influence a significantly larger area of up to 200 meters around him and control many objects at the same time. His control over the movement of atoms has never been so high, Neo could fly for a long time even without the help of his Miasma, and he believes that even 100 people who all attack him in melee combat can be killed by him with his Telekinesis alone.
But before you get too excited about this, Neo still has its limitations. He cannot affect an infinite number of objects and must ensure that the weight of the objects he affects is not too heavy. Especially since Neo feels the whole weight on his brain. If the weight of an object is too much for Neo, then "boom" and his head will explode.
But it is good that Neo can feel the strain and therefore knows when his limits have been reached.
Otherwise, Neo's Regeneration Trait has improved a bit. He heals wounds faster now, and even if Neo loses an arm, given time and food, it will still regenerate.
Finally, Neo's Legion has also evolved drastically after wiping out and eating all creatures in the east district of the city, and as mentioned, 30% of Neo's Legion have evolved into LOW STAGE 1 MUTANT UNDEAD. Most have received a STRENGTH, AGILITY, or DEFENSE Trait. But there were also some special variants that Neo wants to try out in the upcoming battle.
However, the undead who have evolved the most are Neo's Elite. All undead have evolved into LATE STAGE 1 MUTANT UNDEAD and their abilities have drastically improved.
Attackers are now able to use their own weapons with reasonable power with no problem, and their strength has reached new heights. The Defenders, on the other hand, can block most damage with their armor and can withstand even some weak energy weapons.
However, the Enhancer has made the greatest progress and has now become the first LOW STAGE 2 MUTANT UNDEAD in the Legion. Even Neos Prefect is just MID STAGE 1 and is therefore inferior to Neos Elite. But to Neo's regret, the Enhancer seems to have just gotten a little smarter. He can't say anything on his own yet or think great, but Neo know that as the undead levels up, they will have more intelligence.
Furthermore, the Enhancer didn't get a new Trait, but his ability BERSERK has improved significantly and he has learned a new ability too.
Emily named it AURA OF FEAR and basically it allows the Enhancer to give all undead in the enhancer's area of effect an aura that causes all enemies to fear and panic. Those affected notice nothing of this aura, but only feel the side effects. On the other hand, his BERSERK ability can now affect up to 10,000 Legion undead, and that should make Neo's Legion more than useful.
Neo next wants to make his Elite and Legion evolve and learn some techniques with their weapons. But he still has to find them, especially since he doesn't know many fighting techniques himself.

Neo decided to test his limits against a portion of the Horde, while minimizing the threat posed to his prey, the humans of the camp. In addition, this gives Neo the body cores he needs from Stage 2 Mutant Undead.
And in case of an emergency, he still has his Legion behind him, whose strength is unparalleled in the world, so in the end Neo can only benefit from an attack.
Neo is currently flying on his Miasma in the air, hungry for human flesh, followed by his Legion clad in Egyptian armor below him.
He ordered his Legion to march in formation behind him in unison.
And so, in the dark of the morning, a huge army dressed in armor that seemed to be from another world marches onto the streets of a modern metropolis and follow behind their leader, who flies imposingly in the air, towards a gigantic Horde of Undead and a particularly huge Undead looking in the direction of the marching Legion.
In the distance, Neo looked at the huge undead that seemed to defy all logic itself.
How can an organism that is so big exist? All living beings are subject to the laws of gravity and can therefore never reach such a size.
But the monster in front of Neo could and it looked straight at Neo with its huge eyes and then slowly began to walk in his direction.
But where others would panic, Neo got all excited. Another Stage 2 to analyze and dissect and explore, how could he not be happy, when his meal that will make him stronger is right in front of him?
'How does that thing get enough food? What Traits do you think it has? Can I really use the undead's endoskeleton to get his Traits? Will I be that big too then?' Neo asked himself this and many more questions when he saw the giant coming towards him.
The giant destroyed the surrounding buildings and streets as it ran straight at Neo, but Neo didn't even flinch and when the undead got close enough, it lunged and prepared to crush Neo.
However, Neo just smiled when he saw this. After that, he used his Telekinesis and stopped the fist in mid-air and jumped onto the arm of the giant undead, who couldn't move his body.
His dark broadsword formed in Neo's right hand and he ran along the giant's arm up to his shoulder and then jumped onto the undead and made short work of the monster.
Neo covered his sword with his Miasma and stabbed the giant's large skull, after which the miasma in the sword erupted everywhere, parts of the brain exploded and the giant fell to the ground.
Dead.
"HAHAHAHAHA... take that Goliath! Who needs David when you have ME!" Neo laughed in his diabolical voice as he stapped the dead giant a couple of times.

Neo's miasma then brought out the large Body Core that was in the dead giant's brain.
The purple crystal was about the size of four apples and Neo was sure he would never be able to eat the core like that, he has to split it first. Neo decided to put that off until later, especially since something else more important has to be settled right now.
The fight, if you want to call it that, was seen by many of the fighters on the Northeast Street wall and all of them stood there with panic and fear on their faces.
The monster that was giving them nightmares and fear was defeated by a small unknown something with just one attack in seconds. How can this be? The fighters doubted their own perception and there were even some who imagined they were just dreaming.
While wondering like idiots about who the being that accomplished all these feats was, Neo ordered his Legion to move before the undead Horde in formation. In addition to that, he ordered the Enhancer to cast his new ability AURA OF FEAR on as many undead as possible, including himself.
This only increased the fear and panic of the people at the wall and one who could not stand the fear even jumped off the wall and broke both his legs and was then attacked and eaten by undead.

"People. How fragile they are. They lose control of their bodies and minds at the slightest change in their limited world. They then tend to make stupid and drastic decisions that can end fatally for everyone involved. Oh how glad I am to have been freed from the chains of humanity" Neo said with a slight smile showing his razor sharp teeth behind his lips.
Neo decided to wait for a reaction from the humans, hoping to be entertained more.
He formed his Miasma into a kind of throne and sat there on the giant's forked head.
After a while, the hoped-for reaction came and Neo found some familiar faces among the people at the wall.
"Hello my three little pigs, did you miss me?" Neo said with a big smile as he greeted his little pigs, his voice sounding diabolical...

P.S. Neo had the CREATE DEMONIC ARMOR Ability the whole time. It's the demonic armor that Neo usually crafts when he fights, but I've only just added it to UMI.
